There should be 3 bolts/nuts on the outer ring of the clutch - most are adjusted to .012" clearance between the disk and metal pulley face - it's tough to see the gap but it's there..

BTW- never let an oil leak get to that clutch , they are quite expensive to replace .
You can easily check the forums and such too for specific info on clutch gap , almost all of them are .012" .

Tree Winching day!
Today I used the cruiser winch to pull several straggler trees that I cut down, the Warn 8274 worked great this was my first opportunity to use it and it has an outstanding pulling capability, it payed for it self today.
Here are several pics:

I received my Megatronix - HL6 - 6 Foot Mechanical Hood Lock Cable With Ignition Interrupt. I got the idea from Danny @pngunme , his turned out to be a very nice install and thought it would be a great addition for my cruiser as well.

Thanks Danny, I was just heading over to the shop to start the installation, any tips?
I found the striker plate too cumbersome to use on our 40... the hood material is as strong as the striker plat, I used the hood lip as the striker and mounted the bolt to the radiator side-support.
Pretty straightforward... just a matter of gettingn it adjusted to make the lock as tight as you can.

Fun with forestry ... Love pulling that work ... I don't know if poison ivy is bad where you are but by me it's pretty bad... I have been limiting the times I do that type of landscaping these days... I am not allergic but every one else in the family is

I had an event this morning with my 40, I started it, ran OK for about five minutes and then pushed the choke knob in and the engine died, did this several times and right away I thought idle solenoid. I disconnected the solenoid wire for testing purposes and ran a new test wire directly from the battery to the solenoid and no click, I guess the solenoid is toast. It's time to contact @beno .
Mike, you didn't knock that wire loose while running your hood lock cable... Right?

No I'm still trying to figure out how to fit the lock and the thick fortified cable under the dash. The fortified cable appears to be too long to fit under the dash.

I drilled a hole right to the right of the emissions controller (? Behind the fuse panel) - I hope you can see these pics.
This is the bolt... Terrible pic, but you get the idea... I hope

I was going to reuse and enlarge an existing whole located between the clutch master and the brake booster, but I realized there may be some interference with the brake and clutch pedals, but after seeing your pics I might be able to make it work.
