I just received the best mail

I was in the middle of teaching my 4th period science class when there was a knock at the door. There stands the school's SRO with a huge box. I looked at her quizzically and she shrugged her shoulders. She hands me the box and I jumped with joy. The kids think I am odd anyway, so they had zero issues with the SRO handing me her knife and delicately cutting into it. The whole class got to come look at why I am so happy and smell the goodness of a whole new 80 interior!
Now, anyone have the quick draw of the seat heater install thread along with the factory part numbers for what look like factory switches that will work? :-)

Any chance of getting just the drivers seat? That's all I need, the rest are fine. If I could get one seat for $350 I'd probably do it.

Did you guys ever hear back from Shane? I tried to order some swatches from the metric tlc site as I'm shopping around for some leather covers but it seems like my request just kind of went into the ether. I also noticed on the 10" sub thread that some people placed orders and then never got the product.

Interested in ordering, and I've seen lots of satisfied customers here, but also posts where Shane is unreachable for days/weeks at a time which is a little concerning given the $ size of the orders and that it seems to be a full-time business vs. side-business/hobby. Anyone care to chime in?

I placed a seat cover order over two weeks ago and can't a reply from him regarding tracking # or if the item has even shipped.
The lack of information and communication is frustrating.
His web site says he ships on Wednesdays and Fridays via USPS. But, even if shipping the slowest ground method using USPS the week after the order was placed I should have received it by now???
 
Good luck! Shane was pretty uncommunicative when I placed an order from him. Tried to work out a few things and never heard back so I just gave up. Disappointing...
 
It seems like the people who ordered the subwoofer plate never got the item and there's also a guy on another thread who can't seem to reach him to get his FSM back.

I'd give the guy the benefit of the doubt but I see he's been posting on Facebook the last couple of days. Piss poor in my opinion. MetricTLC will not be getting any of my business.
 
I have been in touch with Jen, and have received a tracking number for the subwoofer which should arrive on Tuesday next week. I am still waiting for a tracking number for my leather. Jen did mention there was one person ahead if me, I ordered about 3 weeks ago now. I do agree that communication is rather lacking given the price tag on some if these purchases,

Shane/Jen, @AATLAS1X f you can give folks an email with expected shipping dates, that would put people at ease.

WTF? WTF?
For what it's worth, he used to be in Oregon City, but moved to central Oregon (Sunriver, I think) a year or so ago. So I'd guess little caesars must have gotten his old space.

my understanding is that they fabricate the seat leathers after you order, so 2 weeks is pretty short

you can call your credit card company and place a dispute on the order until you get the shipment (that's what I did while I was part of the group buy), or ask your money back

the new seat covers in our 80 look awesome :D
 
Been getting responses to my emails today.
Says he's been busy, moving, etc......
Hope my seat covers ship next Friday.
Finger crossed.
Also, the covers are made to order, not stocked, which I did not know and is one of the reasons for delay.
 
Shane is a stand up guy. His product is better than you can imagine. Bite the bullet and be patient. Installation is not easy but not overly difficult either. It also takes patience. If you read through the group buy thread you'd know what to expect. Patience people

I was getting a little frustrated too. BUT, I have heard from Shane this week and he told me his email has been down...and I know what that is like...He has been answering my questions about LX colors daily. I WILL certainly go with Shane when I pull the trigger on a new interior.
