My box is taking the scenic trip across the country, 2 days late according to the USPS tracking. Still in Memphis, via Atlanta to NC? Thanks USPS for your efficient shipping methods...

Yeah, mine is taking its time too.
It's supposed to be here in NC today but the tracking never shows it reaching the sort facility back on 12/13

Shane,

I sent you an email several days ago...
Can you please look into my shipment?

According to the USPS, it never made it to the sort facility back on the 13th.

Thanks

As you guys work through this, if someone finds a good place to source the ES300 heater switches and required wiring/connector contacts then chime in. I have read the threads on how to wire up the seat heaters but finding the ES300 switches and exactly what else I need is a pain in the butt.

We need to source as a group the switches and needed crap to get the heaters going.

Shane
I received the rear passenger seat footie things. It must feel good to get "caught up". Thanks!!

Holy crap look what just now showed up...only 5 days longer than it should have :P

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Clause....

According to the USPS, it never made it to the sort facility back on the 13th.

that's how mine showed on the USPS website - until it sat by the front door

you can also call the USPS, they have always been helpful to me

(disclaimers for the state of NE, sorry to say - different story)

I may have just missed this in searching the Metric Website before, but last night I stumbled upon the section where you can actually order replacement leather for specific parts of the seats (ie that pesky ripped drivers seat bottom).

If you're like me, and have a pretty decent set of interior leather aside from the driver's seat, this could be a pretty nice option. One day I'd love to be able to swap out my entire interior (and i've been following this thread with envy, as all of you guys are getting some pretty nice christmas presents), but for now, I've been unable to justify it. However, that front drivers seat rip has been the 1 nagging thing that i've disliked about my cruiser since i bought it.

I pulled the trigger on the new seat bottom leather last night, in large part because these are 25% off! This also gives me an excuse to do the seat heater.

Here's the link to the replacement page: http://shop.metrictlc.com/Leather-Replacement-Pieces_c97.htm

I've been like a kid waiting for Christmas and the seat covers arrived today!!

So scratch my earlier post. The idea of getting JUST the driver's seat bottom alone made me a bit crazy, as I realized that if I was actually going to take the time to replace it and do the seat heater, then it makes much more sense to go ahead and replace the leather of both front seats. Don't tell my wife!! Just placed the order for the set!!

Just wanted to give another shout out to Shane and his customer service. Had a slight mixup with my original package and he got it squared away and even more with no questions asked. And what awesome products these are! Thanks for supporting the hobby Shane!

You know, when I did mine I cut out the degraded foam on the left bolster and other worn areas and used medium density foam in 4" thickness to build the areas back up. I cut the areas in as close to 90 degree cuts as I could and used 3m adhesive to hold. Then I topped it with a layer of batting before putting the covers on. Feels great and I added a lot to the lumbar area which is nice. Just a thought if you can't spring for new foam from Toyota.

My upholstery guy did the same thing. I think he added quite a bit, he even filled out all the gathering. Feels nice though.
