Mine are a mixed bag. I'm going to clean them up before paint. For the price I'm not overly concerned, but it should be addressed in the future.

Unacceptable welds- Unacceptable quality control.

I received the "box-o-hardware" today. I'm still waiting impatiently for the sliders to arrive.

Some are clearly better than others. Took a couple of pictures of the welds on the Metal Tech sliders I received from the group by. Many of the welds appear unfinished, high, or outright sloppy. How did these make it out of the shop?

I'll take closer pix of mine (which started this convo of doubt)... I just drive through Portland area yesterday, but my sliders are still unfinished In a friends garage In CO.

I'll post up pix in 2 weeks...
Maybe @helocat will chime in by then.

The weld beads onine are amazing. Mine are NOT like those. The GX batch was started from scratch and in the mail within a week (IIRC)...

Mine arrived today :bounce:

While they didn't look like some of the "welding porn" I've seen posted by @benc , the welds (on mine) didn't look bad (with a very quick once over).

They do seem quite a bit heavier than I remember the Slee (non-step) sliders being, but it has been quite a while since I handled the Slee sliders.

Mine were passable as well, a couple cold welds and lumpy passes. Really heavy sliders for sure, surprised it’ll only be held by 2 brackets

Does anyone have recommendations as to how to secure the drivers side brake line? I’ve routed it onboard of the slider mount u bolt. But now it’s just hanging there rubbing against the built ....

Any advise?
