Could you possibly get a picture from the side so that I can see how far over the distributor goes.

So it doesn't need to go that far into the dent

she is home in my garage again.
Mechanical fuel pump. What is interesting is that my driveway is steeper then the "hill" to get out of my neighborhood. When I got home she fired right up and I was able to drive it through my neighborhood. This morning I was able to drive it out of the neighborhood to the gas station to put a bit of gas in her. I think the problem might be with my throttle cable being bent and kinked making it hard to go through the housing.Mechanical or electric fuel pump? Sounds like it's getting enough fuel to idle but not enough for under load, especially climbing a hill. Partially plugged fuel filter or fuel line?
Spray type silicone can help with a sticky cable. Just spray at both ends and work the cable back and forth. Also check your linkage bushings for excess wear.Mechanical fuel pump. I've got my 4 vehicles, 1980 - 2015, insured through Progressive but just two adult drivers. Insurance actually went down significantly when I added the 62/forth vehicle. So as with a lot of 56 year olds, she is not wanting to wake up and go to work. Saturday I was able to start her up and drive her out of the neighborhood and get to the gas station and back with no problems. This morning since I still have a couple of days on the temporary registration I was wanting to drive it to work today. My daughter parked the Avalon behind her and I was thinking that I will start Uma up and let her idle and warm up the carburetor and that way she will want to drive and work while move the Avalon out of the way. she started and idled for a while then sounded like she was going to stall. i pulled the choke a bit more, gave it some gas, and then she stalled. After playing that same old song and dance a couple of times she would not start. Luckily she was still in the garage. No harm, no foul.
On a side note with the advancing of time and my son soon to be a licensed driver I have been shopping for insurance for 4 drivers and 4 vehicles including Uma. I have tried those social media adds for the insurance market place and they will either only insure 2 vehicles or they don't go past 1990. In the past I have reached out to Haggarty and when they found out that it is a Land Cruiser they asked if I ever take her off road and that basically if it is anything other then a glorified dirt road they would not cover it. I am just looking for suggestions.
