I can check a loose one I have to see the bolt size and pattern it has.
I have got it to work. the only thing wrong with the old drum was a broken stud which I have corrected, unless you were talking about the fan

So I haven't been as diligent in taking pictures of her progress as I should. Needless to say there has been progress coupled with waking up in the middle of the night dreaming that I was having to take a non running vehicle to SAS. I ordered fuel line and that came in yesterday and was able to get it installed. The old fuel line had become dried out and cracked causing a massive fuel leak before I took it up to Higgy's. So when I picked it up I cut the fuel line to drain the fuel out of the tank. That is another problem down. One other thing that was holding me back preverbally speaking because it has never worked in the time that I have owned her is the parking brake situation. One of the things that @POTATO LAUNCHER said needed to be working for SAS was the parking brake. Mine the top mounting stud nut had come off of the backing plate and all of the hardware inside the drum was just in limbo behind the drum. The shoes had no life left one of the spring retaining pins was gone and the other was bent. I was able to find one on FB market place that had shoes, springs, adjuster, drum, and one of the retaining pins. Luckily @cruiseroutfit told me that Toyota still sells the pins from the dealer, and I was able to get one when I got back from vacation. I found out that the new drum didn't have the right bolt pattern and diameter studs, and there aren't really M8 studs available for the old drum that had a broken stud from last fall. I was a little creative and was able to make some studs with some hardened bolts during my lunch break. I got the backing plate cleaned up in the parts washer and the new shoes attached and hooked up to the the parking brake cable when I went to mount it I found that there were 2 broken bolts in the output shaft flange mount. So I had to take that off and fix that problem. I got the 2 broken bolts drilled out and new hardware to mount it. Last night I got the backing plate flange mount back on with a new gasket, the backing plate mounted with the new shoes drum on. I still need to get the cable hooked up to the handle and the drive shafts on and gas in the tank. Fingers crossed by next week hopefully running and driving.

It's all just nuts and bolts Dan. You can do it. Don't forget to have a Fire Extinguisher. 🚒
