Sounds like you found and repaired your problem great job 👏 🥃.
If you have ever had a tow bar fall down while driving you would have it in the back by now or in the garage.
Well the whole point of the chore list that my wife gave me was so that we could walk around the front to get to our storage closet in the car port. And with the tow bar on that can't happen. So off it goes. I do kinda like the vintage look of the tow bar on but it can't fit in the garage

She was able to make it into work today. She did however need a pep talk on the way in because of the PTSD of having a heart attack the last time. But after we got past the heart attack spot she did better. I still need to do some tweaking with the carb and get her to pass emissions so I can get her current again. Right now though I am happy with it.

Flashback aside, that’s had to feel pretty good. 🍻

Every year for my kids home coming weekend they have a student car show and to make it so it isn't a popularity contest they invite guests to show off their cars.

I was asked to bring in Uma and for the most part she cooperated in getting there. I tried to work out the bugs with it running rich, which made her not want to behave.

But I was able to come out with some hardware. Second place after loosing to a semi camper hauler

Love the plate and sticker. I'm tempted to make one "This Toyota only does 55 but it will do it off road too"
Talk to angry tractor noises. I got it from him. He is on Instagram I tried to go to his website but it wasn't up anymore

My youngest daughter was at a friends house all weekend and my son went out to hang out with his friend so I told my oldest daughter that we could do somethings fun today for so this morning we binged some modern family and this afternoon we took Uma out to stretch her legs in the Saguaro National park near our house

We saw this cool little stone building and wanted to go see what it was come to find it was a picnic shelter. This window framed the view really well of Uma down below. While we were there a National Park Ranger came to check on us. We asked what this odd building was that looked like a bunker of some sort.

Come to find out it was an old outhouse that was boarded up. So we went to check it out.

You can kind of see Uma in the background. Yeah it was like 80 degrees and my desert rat was cold so she wore a hoodie.

So I have been wanting to do this for the last little while but the hood struts with the 10mm ball sockets and the gas struts. I think I have seen that on here somewhere but I don't remember where.

I took the old girl out for the first real shake down post surgery. A coworker and I went out to do a fairly easy intermediate trail. One that I would actually need to put her into 4x4 and at one point 4low.

I realized I haven't posted anything in a minute, probably because I haven't been doing a lot to her except for driving her. A couple of weeks ago the reverse light cover broke, actually it had been broken and super glued back together and the glue came undone. So I reached out to Lee Lim of @solvefunction and asked if he could print me a new one

He is also printing off the gaskets for these reverse light covers

So the unforgivable happened today I came out from work to come home and sure enough there was a stupid mummy duck in my windshield. I did what I said I was going to do I cut the head off of it and tried to find a jeep to return it to where it belongs, but since it is a holiday there was none to be found. stupid ducks

We had this conversation, with @OlYellr

So there are a couple of things that are on the horizon for her 1. I have to find and fix any and all vacuum leaks. 2. After the vacuum leaks are fixed correct the idle fuel ratio, because she is running rich and I am only getting a shocking 8 mpg. If I could get to double digits that would be great. For Christmas she got a digital adjustable timing light and tachometer all in one. 3. I have been living without a working wiper motor for a while I know that I have seen a thread on here once about rebuilding a wiper motor & I had tried to follow the step by step instructions but a couple things went wrong first off the the original connector completely disintegrated so when I rebuilt it I used a new Deutsch connectors and I need to figure out which wire is corresponding for speed and whatnot and the second thing that I screwed up when rebuilding it is that the solder didn't fully make a connection and bond so now it came undone.

All of that and I need my ADHD to cooperate and let me get it done without going off on a side quest.

I am ever so close to finishing off my second knife from the original leaf springs from Uma and it is a K-Bar for my buddy who just retired from the Marine Corps.

Has anyone converted the 3 on the tree to three on the floor. Or is it even possible or would I have to change everything on the transmission.

I think you just need to change the top plate on the tranny with the adding the shift lever and maybe some guts with cutting a hole in the cover plate and adding a boot. You likely need to remove the stuff for the on the tree. Don't throw it away - people will buy it.
I'm sure there are threads that cover everything that need done.

It’s simple like @charliemeyer007 said you just find a floor shift top for the 3 speed. A factory one will have the back up light switch threaded hole some aftermarket ones don’t. Remove and SAVE the column shift stuff.
