Ok, so need to be ready for the Moose to make a 700 mile round trip around the end of April. The clutch and driveshafts will be sorted for sure. It runs good now and I might put a sniper swap on the back burner if time allows.

Aside from getting the signals and lights sorted out, what other items should I be looking at. Thinking the front disc swap should be on the hit list, maybe some soundproofing and heat sheild on the floor, what else? Got some time, but with other projects and honey-it's it will be here before I know it.

Thanks

Well, the long term plan is to make a cross country trip in the pig on the scenic by-ways, so 55-65.

I have new shoes and a spring kit and had already planned to rebuild the drums, but I also have a mini truck axle in the barn and would only need steering arms to do a complete knuckle swap to have discs and fine spline birfs. I agree that the drums have done well, but looking down the road, doing discs and a power brake upgrade just seemed like a good move from a safety stand point.

April.....CottonLand Campout I Hope

It is just shy of 700 miles round trip to Canton. 80%+ will be along the trace. Looking forward to it.

Make time to drive it, take mutable ~100 mile drives before your trip. It will tell you what it needs before your trip if you put the miles in and take the time to listen.

Great advice. Don’t try to finish it. Get it to a good point and get some mikes on it before to take it to another stage it level. Nothing kills a project like too much sitting.

LOL, yeah, I do. I gotta try to stop trying to do all the "while I'm in there" things with these old trucks and just get one thing at a time done and get some miles on it, then move onto the next one.

E-brake cable arrived today.

New shoes, hardware, adjuster, and not pictured, the new cable.

Dicking with those things for a couple hours will really suck the fight right out of you.

Is this a butt connector? Just pulls apart?

Trying to pull the grill off to hit it with some silver mica.

Also, good source for the marker lenses?

Cruiser corps or....?

That makes me :frown: The drivers side lense is in pretty good shape, but the one pictured is pretty jacked up. The left side is busted pretty bad.

I got some parts off a 69 from Mike @Cruiser Corps a little while back. I will hit him up tomorrow and see if he has any lenses on any of his parts rigs.

Thanks @Guster I am double checking on the one in the ebay listing to confirm that the markers come with. If so I believe I will go that route.
