Nice!

Looking to 3-link mine two with about the same time-frame. Hope you get to it first so I can see how to deal with the stock motor's low oil pan.

Has anyone ever done front links with a Cruiser 6? They were usually with V8's. When I'm ready my boss at work has done one and a local Cruiser friend is 4-linking a Tacoma front and rear so I'll be in good hands :)

Right on! I am pretty much going to copy "The Dude's" build up of his HJ61. Except just a tad bit higher and no fender cutting. He did his pretty tight to the oil pan/ frame and had some clearance issues. I've gone underneath and looked around and honestly there shouldn't be an issue clearing the pan/frame/ ps pump/ etc..

I've done quite a bit of reading on pirate and it seems like the hardest part is getting all the geometry correct and from there its the fun stuff. Are you going to 4- link the rear, or go SOA? I am planning on doing the chevy 63 springs w/ a SOA and maybe french the shackles in or try and make it as low as possible without sacrificing load capacity. Im assuming this is on your red 62?

Exactly as you describe with the SOA. I figure one needs about 5-6" lift in the front so the middle link isn't an issue with the oil pan. But I'm just benchracing so far. Are you thinking about an engine crossover brace for the coilovers?

Cool, looks like we have the same plan. I am shooting to be ready for this summer 2017.

What size tires are you wanting to run? I am going to cap out at 37s because IMO once you go past that it's not really road worthy.

Yes on the crossover pipe. I like the shock hoop look more so than say a ford tower. Plus you can make it as high as the hood line if needed. Doing this will require me to ditch the "turbo/Toyota" intake pipes but I want to run a FMIC so that I can get mo powwaa

if you 3 link it, ill 3 link it. so if you could be ready by summer 2016, that'd be great.

If I win the Lotto it will be 2016 lol, but I'm not banking on that so summer of 2017 for sure. I want to do it once and do it right and that means an extended diamond axle housing, King coilovers, beefy ruffstuff heims, etc.

Seems as though we have the same suspension upgrade pattern going... shackle reversal- SOA- 3-link. I'm expecting this to be the last.

Hey, truck looks good man. I'm in the middle of a spring over right now. I have the back done now working on the front. Do you have any pics of how you clearanced the ruff stuff passenger perch for the 3rd member? Seems like I have to take a lot off.

Thanks, and no sorry I don't have any pics of it, but you will be doing a lot of grinding to get it to fit. Ditch the little plate that goes under the perch on top of the diff. Get your other side squared away then make sure they are level.

Ok, thanks I'll try that.

Finally...

Lets see them on your 60! :DI wish I could push 37's:flipoff2:

Here's a poser shot, I'll get some action shots at the lonestar roundup over Spring Break... There's no way in hell I'd run this size tire with a 2f lol.

Looking forward to seeing this in person.

:)

Keep in mind that she's a 10 footer:lol:

Looking foreword to meeting you and checking out your little slice of JDM awesomeness!

Looking really good McGuire! all you need are some Hutchinson's.

edit: and your avatar is fxxxing awesome

how it's the ride with those grabbers .?

I'm very impressed with them. Smooth and quite on the road and no typical mud terrain "hop" from 0-15mph which is nice. But one thing to note is they are very heavy...

Looking good MJ

Thank's Ryan. I've been keeping up with your build, I bet your finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!
