I had the same experience with an auto-locker as y'all. I took that s*** out real quick. Part of my problem was that I always throttle through corners as opposed to coasting. I've been told that coasting through corners takes out some of the bucking.
Very nice build! I want a farm with a hoist and 3 landcruisers. I snapped 7 birfs before i bought my dirty 30's, like longfeilds. now other things break. spun a hub shearing all the bolts and snapped steering arms in half. I keep my rear end open cause i do alot of road driving. with a welded front and a truck weighing in at 7000 pounds. its hard to find a place where my truck doesn't go.
Hey Mj , before you broke your birf, how did your truck drive with the SOA? I think that I will go back to the stock location of everything and not do the SR. Here is why, I don't want to blow it all back apart and powder coat everything and then find out that the geometry is all wrong. I think that this will be the best way to go. Hope you have luck getting it all back together. I plan on doing a lot of fab this week due to me having about three days in a row off.
Took the cruiser on a 5 hour round trip drive today, I have to say I am very impressed once again! I was running 85 which is topped out I guess.. No driveline vibrations and everything felt really smooth. Since my dad has lift occupied with the 86 cruiser, I am going to start building a rear storage/sleeping platform. I'm starting to plan a fly fishing trip up to Jackson hole Wyoming in June, so I will also be making the interior more comfortable by adding some better seats. Also should be getting the longfields in Wednesday so I will be installing them this weekend. Here is a pic of the cruiser from today for y'alls viewing pleasure:

It's been great man! I just pulled the birf out and drained the oil in the front axle so that I can still drive it around. And I think that's probably smart. I have no complaints on my setup thus far!

I was actually thinking about trying that. The problem is one of them has a small rip on the sidewall so I doubt anyone would be interested..
What sucks is they still have 50+ % tread.

Yea you never know, im sure someone would take them off your hands. The only problem is youd have to get the 37s first before you could sell the 35s unless you have a spare set of smaller tires to run until you sell the 35s

Hey Mj, could you take a picture of how you attached your shocks to the top part of your axle. Got mine all mocked up today and getting ready to do the C&T either tomorrow or Thursday.

Ya I will get one for you in the morning! All I did was bolt the bottom of the shock to my knuckle gusset. And sweet, the C&T is simple.. Shouldn't take you more than 4 hours. Make sure you have a big ass metal bar and a torch to heat it up!

Longfields came in today! Super exited about that! I have a quick question though. I'm kind of confused about how the warranty works.. If I run the stock diff splines and they mess up the ends of the longfields is that still covered by the warranty? I looked online and they run about 70 bucks. Is it just a piece of mind to run them?
