I was as far to the right as I could go, which is the easiest line up. I've been up that rock a dozen times in the Tacoma and GC. It's always been easy getting up that first part when dry. If I didn't get screwed over for $700 by the tow company (I'm battling with AAA now), I would have just ordered up an ARB front diff, since I'll need to remove both cv's anyway :/

Inner stubs breaking sucks! Worse thing besides a ring gear. Sorry man. If you do go ARB you should do gears too, the rear wont last if you wheel like that. 4.10 or 4.56 will slow down the wheel and let ATRAC work more as well (plus you will have a locker on top!).

I didn't need to spend the money right now, but I also don't like rework.

Good luck!

PS we need to wheel soon once I get the Summit done. Maybe meet at URE?

Yep. My plan is to do a TruTrac in the rear, and ARB up front with 4.56's. The tow bill cut into that budget though, so it may be a while.

We go to URE at least once or twice a month, so just let me know a good time frame that works....

from reading this and some other stuff, I am guessing that lockers will be in my future

I wasn't doing anything insane this past weekend, but we did manage to find a gnarly mud hole with a 3' wall and ATRAC walked me right up after some 80's a 78 had a lot of trouble with it. Not saying ATRAC is the answer to all of life's questions, but understanding how and when to use it has proven to be very helpful.

It doesn't supplant lockers, but if you constantly need lockers I might argue you have the wrong vehicle or setup to start with.

I broke my rear r&p on a gravel road. It just happens

A lot. I put in ARBs and 4.56s front and rear :P

Finished off the plastic cutting with some door trim molding....

So you removed the entire factory bumper. Added a steel plate too the factory legs. Then built the winch mount on that (plus more metal not seen). I kinda want to keep the factory bumper. I might fab mine a little different. Any thoughts.

Did you fab or buy the bracket for the incognito winch mount? Plz share details in either case, thx.

I fabbed it. Basically utilized the stock frame, and mounted a 1/4" steel plate to it, and used 1/4" angle iron to reinforce it to the frame. No welding necessary. I'll try to post pics when I get back on my PC.

@madtoy did I see that you were selling?

Yep. Actually sold it a few days ago.

I have a few odds and ends to put in the classified section when I have a chance. Off the top of my head though:

Weathertech floor mats
Both third row seats
Brand new front hub assembly
Factory tow hitch

What color are the Weathertechs?

Grey. The fronts are the formed shape, and rears are the rubber universal.

Cool, thx in advance!

You lost me....unless you thought I was asking what ATRAC is???

I was asking @madtoy if he sold his GX because of his apparent dislike for ATRAC. I ran thru this entire thread, there are at least a couple of posts where he didn't sound like it was his cup o' tea. Just curious....
