Yeah, waiting for my house to sell to free up some disposable income but the price isn't bad for the result, but pretty much going to be priority number one once I close.

Oh man... How am I just barely seeing this...?!! Awesome work by @jerryb and everyone else who has helped out. I've got a 2005 (11/04) LX that I would *kill* to have this swap done... Off to see if anything is available still...

@jerryb - do you have any of those harnesses available? I would like one. :D

@LX470Beast , someone told me you used the 60821 ac amp. Is that correct? originally I was under the impression that you used the 60b80 amp. Which I know now does not work. And I apologize for anyone that tried that.
It makes me think that you did use the 60821. Otherwise it wouldn't have worked. The 3 that I know of with 04 and 03 that used the 60821 didn't have any problems.
Did you hardwire anything. I'm just asking to help verify the 03-04. I don't really know what you did.

lately there are three people, one installed the 60821 in a 04 LC after seeing that the 60b80 does not work in the 03-04. After he swapped everything is fine.

two more 2004s are doing right now (LC) and since the 60821 doesn't seem to be available they are using the 60810.

I did use 60821. I manually created my own connections following your directions. Every wire was soldered, tugged, and heat shrink to insure solid connections.

Here's what I'm coming up with for my 2005 LX (11/2004 build date). Am i missing anything? Is there a button kit I need to get with the LX panel assembly? Anybody seeing these parts for less anywhere at the moment? Down right pricey conversion! Too bad none of this is available slightly used somewhere... :-/

I just wanted to check. There are 4 with that amp. All have been fine. I'm not implying anything. Just making assumptions on what people tell me. So I can relay the best info to this big ass batch of 2004s that came from no where.

All the parts you a trying to source are used on LX's outside of the US.. so finding used parts is almost impossible..two of the key components needed to keep your LX looking stock is the LX lower sub panel and the ac amplifier. It's easy to find pricing on US sites and they even appear to have the parts available. 90 % of the time you will be informed the part is no longer available.. after placing the order. If you are lucky enough to find the panel below along with the AC amplifier you might be able to complete the swap and keep stock LX look....otherwise the Land Cruiser panel along with the matching AC amp for the LC panel would be the way to go. If you go back a few pages I discuss this and the fact that i was lucky to find one on Mega-Zip..
I work for a Lexus dealership and have my parts guys inputting these part numbers every few days hopping one will show in the country but to date we've had no luck. If i do find one or the other I'll buy it and post them in the thread for sale at my cost.

The knob kit you listed is needed... the only buttons that carry over are the Rear A/C, Defrost and heated Mirror

I have an extra cheap ebay version of the double din head unit surround you can have for free.
if you want the real USA double din sized one look here, Dfp-11-15 Silver Double DIN Fascia Facia Panel for Toyota Landcruiser 100 | eBay

If you find yourself switching to LC parts because of availability or cost, I have my old side vents that work just fine for rel cheap.

SSG-Asia is showing 3 x 55902-60130, ordered mine 2 weeks ago. Hopping for positive results, haven't got an email telling me they don't have the part. If I ever get it I will have the whole bottom section with boards, buttons and Lexus wood side vents for sale that will fit both LC/Lexus.

So it will only be your 4th variation?

Yeap, won’t stop until I get what I want. I want to make it close to stock as I can. But it’s at least it functional and I’m willing to wait.

2005 LX470 (3/05) - is it accurate to state that to accomplish the delete at this point in time, I should be planning on going the LC route? So, as I'm sorting through the threads, parts for same year LC should basically be substituted across the board?

it definitely would be cheaper and there are, or were, more of those parts produced. I've not kept up with parts availability.

New to this board. Is there a specific parts list for 2004 LC to do the conversion? I believe that I can get a bezel but I don't have the circuit board or ac amp assembly. Just trying to make sure I have the latest list to see if the rest of the parts are sourceable for a 2004 LC. Thank you.

Here's the link

post 2003 nav delete how to.

I just ordered the LC parts for my (pre-May) 05 LX. I will keep hunting for the LX parts. I went with 88650-60810 from MHopefully that order goes through.
@jerryb do you have any wiring harneses left?
@Luke111 do you have any leads on the on LX parts? I bought my LX from your dealership in Jan 18.

For all that have done this, what is the total price involved with all the parts, plus the double din stereo?

And does anyone have a complete list of all parts/part numbers involved? Thanks

I just finished the conversion last Sunday. As of today, my center console now looks like a Landcruiser. Everything went pretty smooth. I took my time as I soldered and heat shrink every connection or open end wires and triple checked every wire I moved and cut. Jerry's instructions were pretty accurate. Bracket part number 86207-60020 and 86208-60020 worked without any mods.

Thanks Again Jerry for all your efforts.......

Bummer as of today.... My AC is blowing hot air. I'm sure its not related to the conversion....

@LX470Beast where did you get the lower buttons from?

How's the parts hunt going? I have a 3/2005 LX and would like to get started on this after I get some other things buttoned up. Afraid my procrastination may kill the feasibility of it due to lack of parts..
