After lots of thought its time to let go. We have had a Great run but the Ol 1966 FJ45 LVertiable has taken its last trail. Honestly the back is ready for fall off, front pass spring lost a few leaf's, front axle and brakes are shot. Lets face it This Wonderfil rig had a Great ending. Will and I built it after passing a few bucks to Rockcod. Spending time building a rig with my son ( This rig ) gave us a ton of memories, seeing the look on Whitey's face at the 45 run ( Priceless ) The Hammers, Iowa, Texas, Pismo. all the kids that learnded to dive in this rig. I know there will be those saying " No Rob you can save it " well there nothing left to weld The rust has givin way and its time. I will be posting up parts soon in the for sale section, Hood, frame & title, various LV parts, seats, tank. I want to Thank everyone for enjoying this rig as much as I have. Here is the Orginal thread if you want to relive the story of this Amaizing ride. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/90-day-lv-build.312726/

Not too bad for a vehicle that was destined to be parted out long ago!!! The War Wagon has to be the most photographed, documented, iconic 45LV ever!!!!! Everyone knows you by the sight of it, Rob. Thanks for the great memories of my kids learning how to drive and Garrett getting pulled over by the by the Campground coppers for driving under age!!!! This is my favorite photo, Emmett was so excited to be bringing this thing home, he called it "The War Wagon", makes me laugh every time he talks about it.

I sure am glad i pulled it from its grave and never thought it would live a rock star life! Most memorable moment for me was Rob saying jump in lets go for a ride.... At surf and turf.... Good lord, we had 5 ft of daylight under us and my back will never be the same!! Good times, Tony, remember loading her at Dans place....cripes...see you guys sat!

RIP to the LVertible.

I'm just glad i could contribute something to it's amazing story (the name).

So will you be bringing the LPB to the 45 run this year then Rob? I'm still trying to figure out how on earth I'll get the time off to drive something out there this year again, and haul my Dad along with me. ;)

Dan

Are you parting it??

My LV sheet metal is all mostly redone but Paul Pilgrim is AWOL with all the bits.

Any chance of selling it whole so I can scrounge the parts needed to bring my LV to life? What better ending than giving life to another LV?
