I wish someone like FJCO would make factory-looking hubcap rims in 16x7 or 16x8. I would be all over 5 of those ASAP.
Check out Nomad wheels...they come in 16x7 and 16x8... I've been following Shannon Campbell on YouTube and he is building a FJ40, thats when I first saw these wheels made by Nomad, they look sick, and they make a stainless optional hubcap that is held on by two counter sunk screws:

These turned out really well and it was straightforward, it was time consuming to get the 30 holes drilled and tapped for the clips.

We went “round n round” on the selection but, the juice was certainly worth the squeeze..😉

Do you have a link for these rims and clips? These and the Nomads @rustED71 look pretty close to perfect. Only fifteen52 rims I'm seeing for the Cruiser in 16" seem to be the 5 spoke.

Clips were an EBay purchase. Although I think there are other vendors.

With all of the riveted rims being decommissioned, harvesting the clips from them is also an economical option.

Byron, which manuf ? Those look to have a significant backspace, I am looking for 2.5" backspace wheels ?

I used ProComp 7069-5183 wheels which have a -47mm offset, 15x10, 6 on 5.5 pattern. I didn't use any spacers as the disc's had a thicker flange than the drum brakes. The clearance I had was just enough to clear the tie rod ends.

The studs were simply a replacement that I found and were longer than the factory studs. I then turned the threads off the last 1/2" or so and rounded the ends on a small lathe I have. I think this is the place I bought them from.

I forgot to mention. The factory lug nuts are 21mm and you can't get a lug wrench on them with these wheels. I bought some lugs that are 19mm with full seat contact as you can see in the photo.
