If you replace the main tank, would the stock fuel gauge work the same? Would it come with full install diy? What is the approx install time? Thanks!

very very interested....but do want to see pics that accurately represent how far the main replacement or the aux tank would hang below frame rails
@wardharris - very interested, but don’t want something that hangs below the frame rails, so if there’s any chance for a 20-ish gallon aux tank to go in the spare location I’ll happily buy it.

This differs a lot from vehicle to vehicle. Most replacement tanks will tend to hang on full for a while until the fuel level that is above the upper level of the float is used. Low fuel warning lights will generally come on at the same level as the original tank but with a greater reserve capacity as the tank has a larger surface area.

LRA Tanks properly installed in well-maintained vehicles should have no problems. Exceptions may be seen in extreme situations comprised of combinations of: heavily loaded vehicle, while towing, end of long climb, high altitudes, hot days, all of the above.
HOW MUCH DEMAND?
Medium sized tanks (24 gallons) are offered for 80 and 200 Series in addition to Large tanks (40 and 42 gallons) for those rigs. Possible to do same for the 100s if enough demand is seen. Any interest in a 20-24 gallon auxiliary tank for the 100 Series?

If the 42 gal aux tank hangs down below the frame rails, I would be very interested in a low profile 20-24 aux tank. Either way, count me 100% in for a tank. Would it be possible to fit the 40gal main tank with a 42 or 24 gal aux tank? That would give you some serious range.

LRA once offered a 24 Gallon tank for the 100. Perfect size and clearance for the most 100 folks who are looking for an aux tank. Basically, doubles the range. I've been running it for 11.5 years w/o any problems except for one design issue with the filler tube. I've already mentioned this tank earlier in the thread but this thread is SO old! =P

I don't think the 90 liter tank was in any catalogue. I want to say it was created for the US/Export market.

I have the 40 gallon tank and it hangs down a bit but no an issue. The range is utterly awesome....
How hard was the install and can I add an auxiliary tank later if I want?
