Hmm. That gives me an idea for the NV4500 clutch MC which has a detached resivoir. It’s cheap plastic and I don’t have a good spot to mount it. I could maybe get that resivoir and add it to the 80 series brake MC?
I have one or two mislabeled take-out units as well that I'd let go for the cost of the beer I'd use packing them up if you want to experiment.

Can you tell me more about this snowflake switch? Can't find any part number info anywhere.

It may not have been OEM Toyota. I've seen them installed on a couple of Euro market 70's, but no idea of the provenance. Sorry I don't have more info.

Well, it’s been a minute since I got anything done on the 79. Between the HJ61, Snowpocalypse 2021, and work, I haven’t touched it in months.

This morning @davegonz came out to the ranch and we wrassled the pickup into the barn. Mini truck for the win!

Time to get back on it.

Fuel tanks and steering column are up first.

Also these Go Jacks are amazing, @teleskier has been stashing them here. First time I’ve used them, and they are amazing.

Or I need to take a lot of measurements and recreate it myself!

Made a few more moves today. @Mr Cimarron came over and we got the pickup bed back on top of the frame...it only took 4 hours of non-OSHA approved maneuvers, one garden cart, a lift, a mini truck, and two 6’ long 4x4 wooden posts.

Got the filler neck in place. It’ll all fit.

We also laid out the wiring harness and pieced a bunch of things together. @rick_d sent an awesome gift: the difficult to find wire to the switching solenoids. A few texts and a phone call later, and I think we have about 90% of the harness figured out at this point.

I was gonna make a comment that while it is in place, I didn’t have the bed mounts and bolts in...

Is it just me or is that bed riding low in the rear 😜
Just looks like it’s just set in place, the kids are probably using it as a teeter-totter.

It is a little wobbly...and I better get the mounts in before the kids jump all over it.

There are two ribs under the bed and one of them contacts the rear spring mount juuuuuust a little...making the seesaw.

Me too, but considerably less anxiety now that I know where at least half of the plugs go.
