Good day. I need some assistance with a part number. I have a dual cab 79 series VDJ in South Africa. In about 2017 the bonnets/hoods on these changed in Australia. In South Africa we still get the same hood as before 2017. I am looking for the partnumber for the newer Australian bonnet that is on their version of the V8 VDJ. If anyone can please assist. First picture old hood and second picture the newer hood.

This is the newer bonnet/hood on the Australian V8's.

Apparently more air onto the intercooler but I think it is more cosmetics.

I agree. It is a good enough reason to upgrade to the newer Aussie bonnet.

53301-60750 is the hood assembly.

The air intake/bulge will be color matched so you'll need the iteration that matches your body color.

You will need the internal guide as well: 76109-60020.

The hood insulator part number is different as well if you are intending to install that as well: 53341-60430

The primary reason for change is pedestrian protection, when you hit someone onto the bonnet there is a larger crumple zone down to the engine.

Yep, after said pedestrian has negotiated 30mm thick AR500 plate that 99% of 70 series have hanging off the front end
