I was just at Valley Hybrids., when they moved rear brackets, George felt the frame in that area needed a bit more structure, adding diagonal support on Frame above bracket. Not sure it’s necessary, just passing info

I used every tool I had.
You need a different tool.

I have all three length air hammers here and the short stroke like the one in your picture just makes noise when used for chiseling and I agree would make for a painful afternoon listening to that thing for hours doing nothing but make noise. You need a long barrel air hammer for doing work like removing rivets.
Aircat is a good brand for the money.
Look on Amazon for "AIRCAT 5200-A-T Long Stroke Air Hammer,Red & Black"

Even a 117 would be a step up if you plan to remove anymore rivets.
look on Amazon for "Ingersoll Rand 117K Standard Duty Air Hammer Kit"

Ive been running mine hard without that for a couple years. Always mud wants to add gussets and such. Welder is up and it’s painted.

So funny. I am on Amazon right now ordering a new one. Glad I checked in. I’ll get the AirCat
The AIRCAT 5200-A-T Long Stroke Air Hammer will get the job done just fine and can still be used around the shop for other stuff.

If you just planed on removing rivets in a hurry then the AirCAT 5300-A .498 Super Duty Air Hammer Kit 1,760 BPM w/4 Chisels would get the job done a bit quicker but likely hits too hard to be of much use around the shop.

This style chisel is what I use.

When the Rivets are upset at the factory they are actually driven into the frame rails from all the pressure! Thats what makes them so difficult 😕. (Similar to building a Skyscraper!!) 🤔. There's a Reason for that 🤔😳😉🍺🍺.

Buttoned up and off the lift. This is with all the leafs. It sits roughly 38” ground to the top of the rear fender arch. (Rear arches are lower)

Per my experience these springs will settle a pretty good bit.

With the V8 and the front shaft being at such a crazy angle now we can’t drive it around. I already have the rear shaft at my driveline place getting resized for the H55/2F so we just get to pull it out for pictures.

Same height as yours Nolen?

Same height as yours Nolen?

It does not look like it is in the photos but once we got them both back in the shop the measurements were pretty close. Mine of course has a good bit more weight on it all around with the fuel tank, winch, sliders, tools and rear seats.

We messed around with some small stuff this afternoon and I started in on installing the SOR pads and covers and realized that’s not my thing. I don’t have any idea how you can squeeze all that pad and seat into that cover so it’s headed to the upholstery guy Monday. As much as that stuff cost I’d be sick if I tore it.
