Got down to Powder Keg before they closed. The parts are amazing.

I sold some vent gaskets to my buddy a year ago and he’s not used them so I gave him his money back. Mine never had this bit of sweetness.

I had to clean all the rat s*** out of the vent areas and scrub them with Zepp. True farm life. No more bodies though.

Lastly I stuck the Koito H4s home

What bad brakes that were are totally gone now with no bleed but I’m starting in on the rear and won’t waste the time. Stuck it in 4Low and creeped out to the driveway to get some pig powder porn

I painted the little lip above the bumper when I was putting good paint on the frame horns.

The two part powder on the grill is a really nice touch that powder keg did for us. Lots of work but its beautiful that way.
We got a new OEM tag holder and I powdered it to match since Texas is a two tag state.

On the rear we got a CCOT trailer receiver and I had it powdered to match the bumper. I cracked the clear on it so it’s got to go back when I take the frame hooks Mike is bringing over this weekend.

I took the old trailer plug out and polished it up as well.

Fresh powder next to real patina is such a great look to me.

Tomorrow it goes back under the knife to prepare to stuff a good rear 3rd in that Mike is bringing over that he got from @Texican at some point. He’s a hoarder so that could have been 20 years ago. Who knows. This one in here is shot. Rear disc brake kit from @Poser is also on the list

Car is loaded. I threw in a 5 gallon bucket I haven’t looked in for 10 years, but I did see important stuff in it like rear drum brake springs and guts from a manual steering box. Figure it will give my 17 yo son something to sort through.

on the plus side I’m bringing a box of Padron 1964 Anniversary cigars and a nice bottle of tequila

@wngrog just catching up on the build thread and I’m moved at the care you’ve taken to restore The Limo nearly to her previous spectacularness. I already thought highly of you, but now you've shown me that you are willing to get soaked, willing to deal with petrified rodents and their excrement, willing to pull bumpers, willing to buy back parts, find parts on donor cars, and put your passion into healing her curves and scars to make her right again. I can now see where you are going with her, understand why the 2F is the way to go, why we went with a 5 speed transmission to be road safe, why new seats were needed, and thanks for figuring out how to put an AC in for me, may still need a towel in Texas but makes it tolerable to drive year round which I’m gonna want to.
I also see that everyone here is part of “The Pig” family, which I’m just now understanding why to my @frismanis this is more than a restoration it’s like family. Ya’ll all love Land Cruisers in a way that I’m starting to understand. I know I’m in the “wife” category here, but you have my carte blanche support for whatever you need to make her right. Happy New Years everyone.

Thank you for the support. Very kind words that are highly motivating. Happy New Year back at you ma’am.

Next ride you won’t need a gas mask.

Congratulations @frismanis sounds like you have the perfect wife, hope you guys will continue to hang out down here in the sty and share pictures of your pig adventures.

Looking forward to seeing the limo at a pig party sometime.

The Limo came with a rear disc brake kit. I’ve been using a super simple setup from TJM that does not require any fab and has all new brake lines. This kit has a couple of weld on tabs and I had to reuse and rebend the long line and make a short line. Time consuming but it will be nice and tidy once it’s all in place

Also went ahead and painted and cleaned the rest of the undercarriage. I may have mentioned it before but this truck has a thick undercoating that is pretty remarkably intact so I only have to clean it good and fill in a gap or 10 and paint over it

I pussed out on full pressure washing the under carriage. I did my best from the side. Now that I have so much bare metal im just going to use a wire attachment on the grinder and hit it with 185 psi air after. I never score high at the show n shine anyway.
Helps if you have friends with "stuff" and a sense of humor...

We left the shop after the seat test and hit the Blue Rooster in Flora for a Flamethrower burger

Once we got home we jumped back on the Limo before we got induced into a burger coma. The tie rod ends were toast and got replaced. Drag link and center arm are all still in place but will soon be replaced with some IPOR goodness

Next we bolted up the @Racer65 booster and non ABS 80 booster into the truck. Mikes son Sid was dandy to get under the dash and get all the hard to reach stuff out and replaced in a flash while Mike cut out the old trailer brake controller. I rebent the lines and hooked up the Motive bleeder and to my great surprise had zero leaks. Bleeding took one pass around and was complete in 5 minutes

Meanwhile Cowboy was unimpressed with out progress but we were happy
