New 33" tires and everything else stock. Just Monstalined the bottom half. I just don't want to bust up the rockers or rip off the power steering paper clip because I wasn't adult enough to wait on the right parts. At the same time. I've had the truck for almost 3 months and it hasn't left the pavement. I'm not even certain if the lockers work. The PO said they did, but I've found several questionable repairs since getting the truck home.

Good to go, and you'll be surprised at what your truck can do...

Sweet ... will need someone to show me how to turn on/off the lockers. My LX450 doesn't have those, so never done it before, just no not to do it on pavement.

If it's factory locked, there will be a little dial on the dash to the left of your steering column.

It looks like this...

How about the locking the center diff. It' only 1 wheel drive if that dosent lock

No center diff lock yet. All things in time.

It does have the factory lockers. That is why I bought it even though it was in rough shape. I just haven't tried to use them yet and haven't read through the manual on how to engage / disengage them. I'm a bit fearful that they won't work or worse yet, that they won't turn off. Every time I see something the PO touched, it requires parts to be ordered and me learning something new.

By spring it will have the bumpers, sliders, winch and air system. Right now it has tires. I use my truck daily this time of year and my LX is likely down for the season for some long over due upgrades and an engine refresh. Breaking something that can't be fixed easily will hurt mah feelings.

I'm going to try my best to be there.

Center diff lock on an 80 is factory. It auto engages in 4L. Don't think it is common for them to die.
Tell that to Bruce or Felix. Both came back to life though.

I've had the LX450 in Low gear and never saw a center diff light. I know there is one in the cluster, but no switch on the dash.

So much for me to learn ...

not L with the trans shifter.
low 4 with the transfer shifter.
will get two lights on the dash. one for the center diff lock and one for the abs.

Just realized I have a wedding on Friday night. I really want to go, weather looks great, so at this stage I'm still in...but how much spirited beverages I consume will certainly have an impact.

Yes, that is what I understood you meant. I've had it in 4L a few times pulling a trailer of wood through the woods. I will try the new cruiser tomorrow after I get the belts swapped.

Will I get an email saying what time to meet and where? Is there only 1 entrance to Rausch Creek? Never been there before.

No email. Prompt on the trails at 9:00 start time. The park office opens at 8:00 I usually get there nice and early. I've got a old red and black 4runner. The other Andy has a old red taco standard cab withe a tool box.

I'm in. For the full day. Maybe dinner that evening if folks head off for something.

I'm in.

Dress warm, it'll be quite cold in the am, mid to high twenties!

We generally meet in the lot by 8:30 and get on the trail by nine.

Here's the address, 453 Molleystown Rd, Tremont, PA 17981. GPS will take you right to the gate.
