gotta TELL on myself...newb mistake...I got the rear on and realized I left off the caps and had to take both off to get the caps on!! heheh but I love the look!

BTW, those tars have seen a LOT of Armor All over the years

Well I don't have the "Purdy Truck" but I am shooting to be the number 2 Purdy Truck!!! BIG DREAMING..I need a total paint job before that!

Thanks Jeff....the 35s FILL UP those fender wells and really made her taller.....she BARELY fits in the garage...definitely no top in the garage!

no no no.......Jeff ran laces out and I do LOVE that look, but Chris had a good point in that they will start to show over time and the black look does look sharp when armoraled.....however....if you want to help with a front end rebuild that is next on the list after I finish this tub job.

HAHA had to share....the better half came into the garage and said "John, the truck looks bigger" I told her it was an optical illusion and that she could still get in it.....so when it comes time for the first ride with the wife (post tire change) ill probably have to hoist her in.....(she is 5 foot 1 inch tall)

John
In the immortal words of cousin Eddie "Clark that looks reeeaaallllll good!!!" HFS quite the contrast to the cow catcher!
Doing some nice work there, I'm also amazed how many posts you have..there must be some kind of award for that!!

my wife LOVES that movie.

the HFS is definitely a step up as far as functionality etc.

yeah...the guys in my club hammer me....i like to talk, ask questions, chat...isn't that what a "forum" is for...I have redirected what I say and how much random chat I put on here....i restrict it to my thread atleast (I hear cheers from CLC!) But seriously....I have learned ALOT and our MS club guys are very knowledgeable and love to wrench and drink beer....oh yeah and wheel! glad you like the mods.

Looks a lot better now shush. I may let it in the shop now, maybe.

Get that bleeding fixed ; )

If you want those tires to work on the rocks you will have to remove all that soul glo.

Nice hanging out with you and Mrs. Josh tonight... we'll have to do it again some time.

Absolutely....great time

CLC....TCB and Jsush fully endorse Viking cooking classes for the Misses if you need Christmas, Birthday, anniversary ideas (and she likes cooking or wants to learn).

I got there last night and TCB saw my name tag, walked up said "hey your on Mud!" and my wife rolled her eyes and said "Geeze I CANT get away from hearing about land cruisers!!! (PRICELESS)

Cooked our own food, tried to drink all the wine, and had a blast.

So I got some time to clean out the tub better, shop vac and wire brush style.

Rust bullet

so after really cleaning the tub under the tank I found out that it had some bondo...so now it looks like swiss cheese. frustrating because bondo is supposed to be best when applied directly to clean metal, they did that on my rig, BUT it was exposed underneath and the bondo absorbed more water that feed the rust so the holes had actually eaten what was good metal when it was applied.....honestly.

im continuing to scuff up the good paint and clean away the flaky rust so I can put the rust bullet on....hopefully next Monday when im off. bought all the supplies today at lowes

anyone who has used RB...how much good paint did you leave? I have one of 2 things.....really good paint or almost total rust through...

Was over at Andy's for dinner and am starting to seriously consider a garage paint job. He found a thread with a rattle can job that looks incredible. Since the inside is being done anyway and the outside has 3 awful spots....atleast I could get it all one color........hmmmm

I was just thinking that today. You should definitely do OD green. My plan is to do flat khaki on mine. At least that is today's plan.

You can build a temp. spray booth in your garage. Your wife may kill you but you can do it.
