Let us know what you do for sliders. I suspect that is on your list.
This thread is all good info for us 24v folks

Not sure about sliders yet, the wifey likes the cheesey aluminum side steps to help her get in when we run around Bend for Costco, etc. I'll think of a way to make sliders that'll satisfy her need for side steps.

By the time good wheelin' weather comes back around (i'm not much for snow-wheelin) I'd like to have my rear Harrop installed, new set of 285's on 17's, an offroad RTT trailer made up and some more nickel and dime things.

Decided to throw my set of 33x10.5's on and try some snow wheeling with the local cruiser/mixed brand folks the other day Wasn't really feeling well, ended up bailing out early in the day when we were near the highway. I hate snow wheelin anyway. Took a couple photo's.

Once again, not impressed with BFG's on slippery surfaces. They have almost no stability side to side. I drove to the recycling center today, and was sliding on some shady spots in the road. Shame that I have two sets of the stupid things lol

Not much other than new hubs from Cruiser Outfitters. Kept the chinese Yijia hubs for spares.

The wheels are 15x8's from a M1009 Blazer. (with the 1.5" spacers) need a set of the ProComp 17x9's with 3.5" BS soon (someday)

The CVT trasharoo and awning are new, along with the contractor van ladder rack that i've modified to fit the existing rails on the 73's FRP top. holding up well, very stout so far. I ordered a basket off amazon to throw up top next. I built a trailer for my CVT tent too

Installed 33’s during a road trip to MT/WA. Noticeable power loss on the passes lol. Re-gear someday soon.....

Ordered a vacuum to manual T-Case conversion from Cruiser Outfitters also, gonna get twin sticks too.

Thanks for the snorkel install pictures... been trying to figure out what I was missing.....

Any idea what lift is on it?

What gears do you currently have? The 1HZ would be a lot happier with a properly set up turbo IMHO than shorter gears, especially if you do highway.
Besides, impossible to beat listening to the whistle as you pull up a grade.

OME lift as far as i can tell

I swapped to 4.88's, too scared to turbo the 1HZ. feels good driving around in the low 60's mph with the 33's

Haven't really changed much on the rig in the last year or so. The "build" is pretty much over. Been driving it everyday and hitting the local trails. I mostly just do maintenance projects on it...

Saw @Willis at Harbor Freight once:

What rpm is it turning? Have to be doing 3k I would have thought. There's thousands of turbo 1HZs running around oz with drivers who don't give it a second thought.

With a decent cooling system and decent tune, a 1HZ has no reason to be unhappy turboed

it's about 2200rpm going 60. i feel fine with that, it'll get up to 65/70 on flat ground but i never feel the need. I think that a turbo would be good simply for the elevation (i'm at 3800ft) and going over Santiam Pass.

Are you saying you are at 2200 at 60 with 4.88 gears? Thats about where I'm at with 4.11's and 255's (33s) 2150ish rpm at 60.

I would assume you would be around 2500~2600 at 60 with 4.88's.

I did one of the gear calculator websites to figure it out...guess I'll get up on the highway and see for myself.

Well....I just jaunted down the highway after picking the kids up. 2200ish rpm at 60mph.

On another note, received some 24V LED's for my dash lights. They are not easy to find. I ordered a batch of the teeny tiny ones in the HVAC control, they have to come from the UK 🙄

Aha, I had forgotten this was an auto

Manual T-case shift conversion kit is already here, got it from Cruiser Outfitters awhile back. Ordered the AA twin stick kit to go with it.
