Probably sounds nutz, but I kinda want the whole setup unpainted or powdercoated. Just cleared and let it be. Pretty sure I'll be booed off the stage now. Carry on.

NO CONSOLE FOR YOU!!

Have you thought of using a small amount of padding under the leather for some cushion?
The leather (front & back) could be rolled & stitched.
I’m curious how that would look.

yes, discussed at length already. cover will have padding.

so clear powdercoat? that can certainly be done.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product, be sure to let me know when I can swing by and pick one up!

My luck...one of the few times I post anything and ....

I’m waiting on prices , powder coating options, & final reveal pics with pleather $ leather options. I just paid a good sum on front seats. How about a how-to to give the local leather dudes to match selection.
Instead , get donkey pictures?!
Common guys. 🙄

Anodized gauge plates are back, looking quite good. The "file to fit" switch holes work well, with the Type III hard anodizing coming off with 1 or 2 swipes of a file and then it's nice and smooth to get the nubs off and make room for your style of switch.

Here you can kind of see the BlueSea relay switch doesn't quite fit, just needs 2 of the top or bottom nubs filed off:

Filing the 2 side nubs off the other hole makes it so the Mictuning dual voltmeter fits nice and snug:

A couple swipes of the file on the side of the BlueSea switch for perfectly snug fit too:

This one is getting installed in our client build with the Cummins 2.8L, so it needs the Murphy Gauge, boost, and pyro. The top, round insert on the far right is the dual USB3 outlet that goes directly back to the head unit for the CarPlay setup. The lower right one is just filling a hole. Will get either a dual USB charge outlet or just a regular 12V outlet for random accessories:

And here she is installed. Type III hard anodizing with laser etched logo since this particular anodizing shop does firearm related things all day, every day, so we will be able to get parts in and out quickly. Once it's all set up the way it's going to live, just have to plug everything in on the backside!

Looks slick for a prototype!

Just needs some countersunk black fasteners to finish it off 😉
Prototype? LOL, these are about ready to go. Countersinking and custom black stainless fasteners are out of the question, don't want to add un-needed costs (users can modify all they want though). This is most definitely a utilitarian product, with form closely following function.

really curious what the price is... “un needed costs” kinda makes me giggle. what’s an extra ~$15 per assembly for black stainless...i’m assuming the cost is in the $250 range?

Definately will be way north of $250, but it'll be worth it.

How did you get one and where is everyone else’s?
