Yes. The Artist formerly known as "Prince" was there and insisted no pics be released. But I've said too much already.

anybody who's my facebook friend can kind of see the mystery guest....with a little imagination and the ability to remove all the black spray paint over the entire body ;)

I'm your facebook friend...and I can't figure it out.

Some, if not most, of the Pig event pics are top secret for the time being...
Those that were there know why.

If we tell you, we'd have to kill you. :poof:

Love the idea for the documentary Elyse. Can't wait to see it!

Hope to interview more pig owners and shoot some pigs-in-action next time I come!

Does anyone know if there are any important pig events I should attend?

I think we did pretty well for having less than a weeks notice...
Now, if we had a couple or a few months forewarning, I bet we could have a more impressive showing.
You can usually see a few Pigs at almost any run in Ca. Pismo in November would be a safe bet.

lol...because of the "mystery guest" ;)

You all were good sports about letting me keep a low profile at this Pig gathering, TK did not end up using pictures from this gathering for the article in the Trails after all. But it was a great Pig gathering!

Elyse - any updates on your Pig or film project?

STEEL SOUL DOC UPDATE:

Following progress of the resto of my rust-ridden 73 FJ55 (aka MovieStar), the doc is still "in production". It's pretty simple actually - the film can't be finished until the pig is. So although progress in this epic battle between steel and rust has had it ups and downs (and more downs and more ups) the documentary as well as the resto project that inspired it, are still very, very much alive.

(With a little help from riderrig's Frankencruiser)

But. So. Two years. It's felt much longer than that to me. My priority this trip, as I might have already mentioned in the resto thread, is working with Jason to do the actual resto work, with shooting being an important, but second priority. So this is film shoot lite.

But art must have inspiration, and I would say that getting together sometime between early Sunday 6/1- and the following Thursdayand to gather at a tble at Bruce's Bar in Severance COLORADO AND toasting our pigs and their various rust-to-metal ratios would be a very, very fine thing indeed. Hopefully the original 2012 cast (Jason of course and TJ and fam, Ige and Pighead and Paul and Julie) and anyone else who has a pig and a story (and what pig doesn't have a story?) it would be beyond awesome totally great

Knowing me, if there's a way to work the camera in I will. But I've promised myself not to turn it into a Shoot. with a capital S The next (and last) shoot will be when I come out to bring the my pig home. And how much I would love to put a secret garage camera to shoot Jason's reaction after it finally drives away. (I'll hide it in the Tiki man)

Thanks all for such wonderful support and inspiration!
