Jimmy, I think you might have the tee in the wrong spot.
The tank hardline and the carb vent (which comes through the Outer Vent Control Valve - OCVC) both need to be teed together and going into the "Tank" fitting on the evap can. Currently You've got the Carb vent going to the OCVC and directly back to the carb vapor intake. What it boils down to is that the aftermarket evap cans only have a "Tank" (which is where vapor vents to when the truck is off) and a "Purge" where it expels the vapor when the truck is running. The Toyota vents from two places (carb and tank) and intakes the vapor in one place (carb). Hence the old Toyota cans had three ports on top and the aftermarket ones only have two. I'm leaving the atmopshere/air port out of this equation since that one is obvious. So the tank vent and carb vent hardlines both need to come to the evap can "Tank" fitting - that's why those are teed. Add the OCVC in the mix to the carb vent line. From the new can, the "Purge" fitting goes straight to the carb intake, that one isn't complicated. Standby and I'll post a diagram.
When I talked to you a few days ago and sent photos of my truck, I realized I may have mine wrong. I dug into it last night while working on some other stuff and made that realization.
