if you smack some defender stickers on it I would have thought that’s what it was. I’ve seen them posted about but never was interested enough to look into. Looks nicely made. I parked my 460 next to it and it felt alittle bigger. Like a new defender with a 2-3 in lift

I wonder what the axle specs are.

I really like how it has a solid front axle.

Did you ask why his frame is red?
I did! It's the first thing I asked him, before we even introduced ourselves. He said it was a factory option, and he thought it looked good. I said, "Huh." He laughed appropriately.

The owner loves it. He had purchased it only a few weeks earlier and had already put about 4,000 miles on it. Said he didn't care about the odometer because he wasn't ever selling it.

Ineos >>>> Better than Cybertruck

Also Subaru >>>>>>>>>>> better than cybertruck

Well, we had an Ineos at the shop yesterday.

It came in for an oil service. It has 17K miles and the water pump is leaking.

The service light can also only be reset by the dealer at this time.
So much for “service it yourself”

BMW power, I’m surprised at the leak honestly.

It is essentially the same engine as the Supra (B58). It is surprisingly reliable engine. Any new manufacturer will have some teething trouble, so in the grand scheme of things this is pretty minor repair.
As for the light reset, most bmw either has a way to access the diagnostic menu and reset codes via buttons on the dashboard (like the trip reset button).
Not sure of that works for the Ineos.

Is the water pump the external plastic octopus electric thermo/pump thing BMW used on its in-line 6es? If so I hope it's easier to access in an IG than in the cars and doesn't crack when you change the motor mounts

It’s still a going to be a plastic octopus, but it’s better than some.

I finally stepped away from Toyota and got an Ineos Grenadier....wanted the Quartermaster but chicken tax and now additional tariffs making unrealistic....maybe later if they bring that B57 motor in I will get one slightly used for my alternative to a 70 series I have wanted forever. LOL

So far so good...very heavy duty vehicle...primarily for offroad with some on road manners...rather than offroad being an afterthought or atleast secondary like on other offerings.

All the complaints and stuff on YouTube about unreliable lockers is BS....they just did not take time to learn the proper sequence and get familiar with operations. Too use to just hitting buttons off and on. Also they compare it and put Grenadier in full open and have it compete against Defender, Prado, etc...with traction control. They rarely do a fair comparitive with center diff locked and rear locker at minimum to be more fair with traction control....

That being said this thing is a beast and no complaints. Once I learned how to properly lock up and unlock all three lockers....use offroad and wading and hill descent modes.....it has been flawless. HOpe to take it to Uwharrie camping this fall and do some light trails...not thinking will do Dickie Bell and Daniel like I did with my FJ60, FJC, and UZJ100...hahaha

The other complaint was steering. YEs the steering damper is stiff....offroad you dont even notice...only on highway and actually got used to it after a couple days. I did end up replacing damper with a purpose built OEM replacement from FOX shocks...night and day and still absorbs steering inputs from sharp jolts. If ever driven old solid front axle 40, 55, 60.....old farm tractor...or an old school bus from 70s....or farm truck then stiff steering requiring two handed steering is normal...this was much better than those...just I think people expected luxary across board and did not believe that all the resources were put into offroad capability...not plush creature comforts.

Glad to see you're still in the "game", my friend.

I learned a couple weeks ago that we do business with Ineos on the industrial side and it's the same owner as the Ineos Grenadier. I learned more about the truck direct from the source.

We kinda dig em. Keep the intel coming.
I would likely buy a new LC before one.of those due to dealer locations but I am still curious about dependability.

They are one of the big Petronas-Mercedes F1 Team sponsors.
