I'm, what is 40", 3" and what's a 14bolt/44, I know what a 14 bolt rear end is but what does 44 have to do with it??? I can see that you are running MTR's but what size? Also, when you say 4.3 I guess that you are running the chevy 4.3 v6 and I know that's a good mtr but why not just go ahead and put the 350 or 400 in there to get all the horses you can?
That's an awesome Pig BTW, I love it....I'm just trying to figure it all out!![]()
Or maybe it was that """ that was throwing me off so bad I couldn't figure out the simple stuff
. Oh well, now I know!I have had many trucks with the 4.3 in them and I was very impressed. From what I understand the 4.3 is basically a 350 with the back 2 cyl chopped off. So if you ever do go with the 350 everything should bolt right up.For some reason that is just how my quotes came up. I'm not really sure why but this forum and my computer don't get along.
I had the 4.3 laying around out of another project is why I used it. It's geared with 5.13's and with the automatic it's not really that bad. I figure if I ever get sick of the 4.3 I'll just throw in a 350 but it just got on the road so I'm not in a big hurry to do the swap. Also a 350 in there would just mean the 44 would be the next thing I would have to swap out and I really want to keep this as a mild wheeler so I really can't justify putting a 60 in there.
Is yours TBFI?I have had many trucks with the 4.3 in them and I was very impressed. From what I understand the 4.3 is basically a 350 with the back 2 cyl chopped off. So if you ever do go with the 350 everything should bolt right up.Is yours TBFI?
I figured someone would correct me that's why I said, "from what I understand" and who better to correct me than Gumby???Close.
They took half of each of the middle cylinders out. That way the front and rear of the castings are the same. Every thing on the front and rear bolts up fine. The serp system on my 350 is from a 4.3L
