Today we crossed the bridge into Washington at 6:45, smashed some burritos and hit the trail north.

The trail socked in with rain most of the morning. It finally broke out just a bit before Mt Rainer but never enough to see it

We left the park and went northeast and the terrain totally changes Its like New Mexico. Beautiful.

Morning. Perfect weather up to Cashmire and then over to Entiat

Amazing scenery. Seeing the Northern Cascades on a blue bird day is awesome.

Beautiful shots Nolan, you guys hit it right with our low snow pack this year…some of these areas would have had snow on a normal year…better to be lucky 🍀 than good sometimes 😀 safe travels home tomorrow…
 
We pressed it as far as we dared and peeled off back to Tacoma. Highway 2 was 1.4 hours longer than I90 and I’m so glad we took it. Amazing scenery.

Looks like you went right through my backyard! Glad to hear you enjoyed the area.
We missed the east/west portion of this route. When we come back we are going to run it instead of highway to Idaho. Too damn nice here. Lucky you.
 
And Adams, and St. Helens, and Hood. What an incredible photo.
It was clear when we were in Oregon so we could see all the way to Hood in places.
