Pic of missing beard? Kim’s take?
Early morning post hydration pheasant hunting last week. Thankfully I went to bed early!! Similar to what a pig party is gonna be like.

We refer to the out of work porn star Stache!

Kim’s take on no beard?
Kim doesn’t mind it much but prefers beard, Kelsey told me not to take the job!

We had good hunt Saturday and Sunday in Kansas. Shot our limits both days. Been long time since I got to bird hunt. Already scheduled for next year with some guys I grew up with.

Hugo, the 10 month old Great Pyrenees has been gently playing with the 9 week old English Cockers outside. He is so gentle with them which is amazing considering they are about 8 lbs and he’s 110+. I have tried unsuccessfully to get a photo of him with all 5 but have found that to be more difficult than the Christmas card photo.

In Colorado the family across major road from us had a Great Pyrenees name "Mousa". He spent more time across road at our house/acreage then his own families property. He would play nonstop with our young lab Daisy and I swear those two were a couple the way they played with each other! The way they both tolerated each others rough housing was fun to watch.

Daisy got sick and later we learned had a rare fungal infection which caused her to have some masses on her intestines. The picture is Daisy the last night we had her before she went to surgery and they realized nothing could be done. We let Mousa in the house that night and he gently touched noses with her a couple times till Daisy gave out small growl. Sure was sad to see Daisy go but even worse watching Mousa come over time and again to play with his mate.

They are great dogs, most are used to protect the sheep herds around NW Colorado with signs on the fences saying not to play with the dogs. Mousa was quite the exception!

So w
Wow! Daisy was gorgeous! Sad to see her go.
Yeah she was a good one, beautiful lab. We have her half sister now along with a rescue black lab mix but Daisy definitely holds special place in our hearts.

Seeing Greg’s dog made me think of that night and their the reaction Mousa had.

Oh Daisy! I think she just broke everyone's hearts in here...

Beautiful birds! Must be a good feeling hooking up with your old buddies. I got expelled from high school for growing a goatee and have had some kind of face hair ever since. I can't imagine shaving at this point.
Another insight into the life of Scrap Daddy!

Ya know in these times there are many far worse off then us so I’m thankful we have a roof over our heads!

So….the 42 year old single wide trailer which I hope to plow under in 6 weeks decided to throw little curve ball couple days ago.

Friday before the holiday weekend I woke up to luke warm shower. Walked outside to check the tank to see a mini Niagara Falls flowing from the tank. Called plumber who squeezed us in which were super lucky as remote as we are. He went on to tell me Obama changed everything and hot water tanks are wider now then before due to new regs.

He had to make some slight mods to the closet, ripping off the old door (in lower left corner of one of the pics) replace new tank. So yesterday I got to demonstrate my redneck carpentry skills!

Some insulating board, with plywood and plastic wrap and bam, good fix for hopefully 6 weeks.

Dont reach out for me to fix stuff, im too busy to take on any additional work!

Spending time with daughter and just had nice walk to swimming pond to let dogs swim some. Wife’s ducks go to the front pond in morning when we open gate from pen and after dark the waddle back to pen so we can secure them from critters.

Were all family here as you can tell!
