It was listed last week by a guy who saw it outside Seattle.

For Sale - Port Townsend, WA 1976 fj55 w/ LS Swap -$15k obo

Not affiliated but did test drive today with seller. No CL posting etc. unknown mileage on motor/body. Runs and drives and stops. Just in a bit more of a project state for me. Seller was quick to respond to phone and show vehicle for test drive. Ross

5.3l, power steering and lift. Not a fan of the 4l60 automatic or the craziness going on in the dash, but, overall, fairly rust free and a good driver.

I sold my 45sb. Heartbreaking, but just felt uncomfortable driving such a nice rig. I’ve got a project 45 lb that I’m in the midst of putting a disc brake axle, Saginaw ps and rebuilt f engine in. So, it’ll be nice to have a 55 that we can drive and enjoy without the project status for a while. Once the 45 is done maybe I’ll work on that dash!

So this is noteworthy as well. Non SOA 55 with LS and stock truck oil pan.

Whenever this gets into your possession, Mike, would you be able to get us some more pics of this and determine whether there’s been any interference with the pan and the diff or driveshaft and whether or not there’s been any floorpan modifications?
