Nothing to report on the TDI swap. Work got in the way.

Had a great Thanksgiving. Heading over to visit with my parents in a little while.

Hoping that you all are doing well.

Bought the rotator cuff replacement 8 yrs ago…wow! Better than any other part of me so when the knee replacement came up for sale, I was so pleased with my previous purchase…I was all in.. it took almost 18 months to get the results I have now which is about 80% of what it was originally. What sucks now is trying to stand up after lying on my back under my 40. Imagine a fish flapping around on dry ground. Heaven forbid you try to kneel on that knee….when I do I can see the colors of the aurora borealis

I have been told that is the worst recovery of any surgeries… I concur. How about a colonoscopy? That is the best 15 minutes of sleep I have ever had
Last 1 I had there was some friendly fire involved 💩🤔🧐😳😮😲🤣🤣🤣

Wifes family company has had condo down in Caymans for maybe last 10 years. Well I’m on my first trip down here experiencing the sunshine and beaches.

Her uncle has always been a tech fanatic, loves his gadgets. Get the new of the new in electronics world. Well I’m the opposite and you know what, my crap works!

We show up Saturday to the “smart” condo, no TVs, only a couple of lights that aren’t wired into fancy crap work. One AC not working.

Now some super nice guy here to work on it all cause the smart stuff done gone dumb! Two laptops laid out on floor, looking for backups with a few folks who may have worked on it in past before resetting it.

Good learning experience before we start
Building a home, even though the chance of remotely going this route were less than 1:1,000,000, I’d say likely not even a chance!!
A wise man I know once told me, "It was a mistake to teach sand to think..."

Woke up to the first snow fall this season and it is a good one. If I were a younger man, I'd be icing up the wine and getting the three wheelers running for a day playing in the snow. :hmm: Maybe I'll just throw another log on the fire and look out the window. :)

I don't know, firing up the 3-wheelers sounds like a good time...

Loved my 3 wheeler in the 80s. Sat for couple years and I took on task of rebuilding carb while on duty as FF in my hometown. The ole Yamaha 225dx ran like crazy until I was hauling butt across pasture after dove hunting and ran across small bit of erosion in middle of field. No brakes could stop a 3 wheeler like that did. Threw me long ways, destroyed the Yamaha and made me walk funny for a few days.
Still a lot of fun!

Holy crap Jon, I'm glad you are still here to make us laugh after that one!
Sounds like a hard lesson in physics...

It was a balmy 13 degrees F outside when I woke up and put on coffee.

The wife and I decided it was time to try out the "new" fireplace. The new place was built with a wood-burning fireplace, so we are grandfathered in.

Pretty darn cozy!

Forgot the picture!

I haven't had a fireplace in years!
When I was in undergrad I lived up in the foothills behind Ft Collins. That place was heated by a wood-burning boiler.
I lived up in the hills W of Golden for a minute (that's where I found my 40). That place had a fireplace, and a wood-burner stove in the basement.
There is something very nice about a fire...

We had 3 of those 4-wheelers in the mid ‘80s a 100 Yamaha for my 6yr old daughter, a Kawasaki 250 for my 9 yr old son and a Honda 300 Four Trax
Almost every winter, each carb had to be drained and cleaned from H2O in the bowl or you would never start them…. it was a seasonal routine and the snow was calling us so, it had to be done. After about 6-8 years, it was a chore to even get going, kids were older and had other interests. Cleaned those carbs one last time for the new owners.

My daughter went on to ride a Ninja, my son went Ducati and myself a 1947 knucklehead and other vintage rides. 30 years later…none of us ride

You guys must realize now all I do is sit and look at a ton of old pictures and drive the New Jersey Turnpike!

Man, the contrast between those two pictures is something!

You should hear me in traffic… I can make up some of the best words you’ve ever heard…😂

While I wouldn’t trade farm for anything, Kim and I invested in small condo in Stillwater so we could stay night for all the stuff we attend. Also get to take hot shower and not worry about how much water in rv holding tanks.

Big perks already after first night. Harbor freight is less than 2 minutes away, Lowe’s 5 minutes at most. Locke supply 8 minutes. Everything I think of that I need at farm but can’t get due to the 2 hour round trip is within arm reach.

Dogs little bored….

Waiting on some furniture.

Update furniture came, nice college kids got it all set up. 15 minutes later Kim has me rearrange it all….

Well, that’s the way it’s supposed to be. I tend to believe my wife is no different. Try it here, try it there…. Fortunately I can still push the furniture around but when we finished this new room, there were 3 different spots to put the tv…once it was up and mounted, THAT SEALED THE DEAL. I can’t view this thing from any angle other 90* so I hope I’m done moving stuff. On the other hand, I did carry up over 2 dozen boxes of Christmas decorations while she said she was not going to go crazy decorating this year…😂

Love those dogs !!
