While I wouldn’t trade farm for anything, Kim and I invested in small condo in Stillwater so we could stay night for all the stuff we attend. Also get to take hot shower and not worry about how much water in rv holding tanks.

Big perks already after first night. Harbor freight is less than 2 minutes away, Lowe’s 5 minutes at most. Locke supply 8 minutes. Everything I think of that I need at farm but can’t get due to the 2 hour round trip is within arm reach.

Dogs little bored….

Waiting on some furniture.

Update furniture came, nice college kids got it all set up. 15 minutes later Kim has me rearrange it all….

No fun working outside when it’s cold, however always something to do. Have to haul concrete from old trailer foundation to huge washout at backside if property. Taking tons of time but has to be done to start pad for house.
Had audience on first run couple hours ago.

Another great morning folks. Drive pig to town for some things and stopped at diner for quick breakfast!

Kim and I talking recently about getting windshield and roof for parents Kawasaki mule, especially watching dad bundled up during the cold last week.

Well, parked outside diner was this kubota utv. Only couple of us in there and I find older gentleman eating breakfast by himself. He pulled it to cattle auction from where he lived only to find they weren’t having sale today due to holidays.

We strike up conversation, I end up going to drive through and beg lady to let me exceed daily amount for withdrawal from the window and she obliged, probably my sad eyes that did the trick. She actually probably felt sorry for me with the pig behind me and I’m standing at her window.

Ended up buying the Vietnam veterans breakfast and he drove down to farm after I got the cash successfully. I drove it around and it checked all the boxes for mom and dad.

They were pretty excited! Darn fun to see.

Found out even a soft top cab and doors makes all the difference when using the family Ranger 6x6s hunting. That Kubota looks new enough it might even have a heater. Nice score and story.
Merry Christmas to you, Kim and family (and "Bonnie")

Thanks Jim, same to you and your lovely wife and family.

She aint new but I’ve seen a ton worse than her for a 2015. My interest perked up when I saw the nice guy probably in late 70s was the one selling it.

By the 70’s most of us have lost the nastiness that latches on to life and we mellow out …😂

Exactly Al! However dear patient of mine in Colorado who was like a grandpa would drive us around all over his several thousand acre ranch when I would go help him work.

Jake who was in mid 80s scared me so much on multiple occasions going up/down and sideways over his mountain ranch.

I swear we were gonna roll it end over end either frontward or backward then compliment that with a sideways roll down a mountain.

Never happened though…

Had to get help moving the girls play house today. Had to lift the front with a rope to help not dig in the ground and guide the swing so they wife got stuck with the excavator work. Making room for the new toys showing up next week. Got it set in place now just to finish jacking it up and putting blocks down.

Like a small kid with new toy, dad took off and ran across property this morning.

Sent pic of this deer
, now he and Kelsey back there checking it out.

Kelsey not your average young lady.

Last year skins and saves tail off coon that killed some ducks.

Now skinning the head off the deer to boil and mount. After morning errands she is gonna start again working on it.
