Hey Sarca and Huz, Its nice to put faces to names, Its been a great reading this on going story of yours and that an old truck can give your family such pleasure and togetherness.

Im a bit inspired now to start a thread on my own two cruisers soon as I finish my kitchen reno..

For your viewing pleasure..first you can view the video from my phone I took within the first few days of ownership..Sorry its sideways, and its dark. But John Lennon's "woman" was playing, it was 100 degrees outside and Im pretty sure I had heatstroke..but I captured it.

Then I figured ya'll would like some 2F starting porn..It was about 50 degrees and it had been sitting for the last 2 days...

Then after I finished filming, I walked around the back again and decided you must want to hear more from the 'throaty' backside of mejane..
Then today, I worked on my nuts.
Lugnuts, that is. :D We picked up the wheels that had been sandblasted. They look much better - and there's some pitting - but my huz did the rattlecan on 'em today. I cleaned up my lugnuts..but got sidetracked and took NO pic's..so Ill show em off tomorrow!

Ive got to ask...what does "gaz" mean or signify?
 
Did y get those new shoes mounted yet? I am interested in those tires as well. Please post up lots of pics once its done. Also could you take some measurements of the tires after they are mounted up? Some tires advertise one size, but the actual measurement is different. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Turns out the huz is quite good with a rattlecan wheels are finished!

The wheels and tires are off being done right now and I plan on getting them on by the weekend. I PROMISE Ill post pics when done!

Ive decided on "Strong Blue" Ive got a little more research to do as this will be a rattlecan job,...but I want a good quality that will last and I want to order from a reputable company. Suggestions are welcome!

I will definitely do measurements for you - I dont have a wealth of technical knowledge, but I can use a measuring tape and a camera :beer:

The huz put the tires on tonight - they fit perfectly, but now youve got me worried! I got them with the wheels..is it possible theyre an older style?
 
Here's a better pic of one - the end is concave, just like my old ones - it fits the wheel studs perfect. Let me know what you think.

If they worked then they should work now. If you hear a knock or feel a wobble, that's the first place I'd check. I agree about those keeping the threads clean.
 
I love acorn nuts! Good choice especially if you aren't going to run the hubcaps!
