That looks SO good! Was it amazing to drive?

Hi Chamba,,,,,,,Well, you and JohnnyC mentioned that period correct battery a few weeks back and glad you did. Seems like a good enough battery and really does add to the restoration. Thanks for mentioning it. Thanks again for the nice comment also. Yea, finally after a year of working on it and 44 years of being in the barn and not being driven, that cruiser got to see some daylight and I actually drove around the neighborhood. I felt like I was in a time machine that had just been purchased from the dealership in 1962. That is until I got home,,,,,,,,,,, and then it was back to the future. lol.

More pics / tin cups and back seats done.

Just have more details to sort out.

I'm new here to MUD and the 40, so new that it's purchased but wont arrive til next week.

However, I have to say that your 40 is absolutely amazing...100% incredible to me...hope one day I get the courage and ability...if I do, I'll wish it would come out as pristine as yours.

Period correct Rad Cap on the way from Toyota thanks to JohnnyC pointing that out. lol Thanks JohnnyC.

I guess you can always count on Johnny to spend your money....but money well spent. I hope I get to see this in person one day.

You've made her so nice that little details like rad caps being too new will stick out like a dog's bollocks. Gorgeous.... There are not enough verbs to describe that Cruiser.

those would be adjectives anyway ;)

Horn, Horn Button and Steering Wheel.

I restored the original 51 year old horn button best I could. Those who have restored a horn button know what a PAIN IN THE ASS it is. It took me 4 tries. Having the horn button plated was so nice but then the painting begins and that is thankless work. Sounds ez but for me, no. The horn works perfectly and looks pretty darn nice against the restored steering wheel. So,,,,,,,,,,,,,DONE!!! At least done with the Horn and S.Wheel.
