Hello Everyone,
Oscar and Hendog came down this past Sunday to inspect the body work. It was a very nice visit. Oscar brought his family and Hendog brought his wife. Jean prepared a great meal and after we visited we went to work. Oscar cleared up some questions Jared and I had. We thought the 40 was loosing power because it had a difficult time backing out of the driveway. Oscar discovered the wheels/brake had locked up because of the unequal pressure between the discs and drums. He showed me how to release the pressure on the front. The brake worked for awhile and locked up again. He suggested a proportioning value be installed. The oil leak returned and Oscar located the problem. It's leaking from the rear oil pan and rear main seal. Oscar also adjusted some of the steering linkage. Some of the "slop" is gone. Oscar taught me how to tune it up with a timing light. With it in time and when the brakes aren't sticking, it has a lot of power. After Hendog showed me how to remove the dash assembly we connected the speedometer cable to discover the speedometer doesn't have a "needle". So we still don't know our speed. While Oscar was inspecting and adjusting, Hendog was taking pictures and telling stories. He has great stories. Oscar generated a list of items that need to be revisited or addressed. I've sent that list to Steve.
My family enjoyed getting to know Oscar, his wife and son. We also enjoyed talking with Henry's wife.
Well, that's the update for now.
The brakes have me wondering why that happening I know the master cylinder we used was for a disk/ drum brake systemLooks like I will be packing a speedo for the trip in April
Did you get any pictures of Jackson in or around the 40 on his last visit ? I could use some for the article Thanks

Hello Everyone,
California Rob, Landcrusher909, and his wife are here for a day or two. He/we worked on the brakes. He/we adjusted the brake pedal and the brake booster push rod. The brakes work now. They don't seem to bind and the truck is running great.
Now that it's road worthy we'll be driving it a lot.
We'll keep ya'll posted.
Thanks again everyone.
