DamnLooks like I am a member of the blown headgasket family. Started blowing white smoke at startup last weekend.
Looking for a shop to do the work.
Mostly because of the unrecoversble time and money i have into the truck.

Wow, really sorry to hear that. It's a very sick feeling deep in your gut.Thankfully I have this![]()

I want fresh valley plate sealant, hence my desire for a reman with a warranty. This truck may only go another 20-30k miles, now that I dont commute with it.Wow, really sorry to hear that. It's a very sick feeling deep in your gut.
Look into those low mileage JDM motors. Pretty sure you can get through all the pain cheaper with a low mile JDM with install than a rebuild.
Yes due to crappy O'Reilly radiator.that sucks. I haven't read too many cases about blown HG for this platform. overheated at a prior time?
I also have a Subaru so sadly I am no stranger to the risk of blown head gaskets.![]()
Yeah, well, I wouldn't worry too much. I've destroyed both LT E and LT C tires with no apparent difference in sidewall puncture resistance. Maybe in a few cases it will matter, but in real world use I'm not sure the load range actually matters that much. So, these days I run C tires when I can, for lighter weight. Haven't tried SLs, mostly because they haven't been available in my somewhat rare size (35x11.5x17).Well my years of running SL tires and telling people "I've run SL tires for years without any issues" in forum posts about LT tires may be over. I popped both rears this weekend. Yes I was aired down and yes I was also doing something dumb.
Looks good. Might get some side to side wobbling without more gusseting, but it probably doesn't have much room to wobble. Nice thing about 20/20 is you can always change the connecting hardware if needed.
If you use double anchors the extruded will bend long before the joint flexes. Its also the only one you can’t easily chose to do later do to the machining. Drawers will stiffen it up even more.Might get some side to side wobbling without more gusseting,
@GrizzlyClintHighly interested in the result here. I'm currently using my third row power for a USB port like that one you posted but it would be nice to have something that looked factory.
