I'm running these too. Great looking tires! I'm reserving my full judgement for winter, but so far so good.

That tire is hugely popular with both the group i wheel with and the shop in service my truck at. If i didn't have Hakkapeliittas I would strongly consider them in a 255 85 R17.

I think the yoko MTs due offer more grip offroad. I have only had to be winched once this year and while I would like to think I am all that, its not me, its the truck and the shoes.

The Cooper ATs used to get a lot of love here in Vermont, but the Mickey ATs have taken their spot at the top. I was running the Toyo Open Country ATs and thought they were great on the road and off it. However, they retreated at the first signs of ice. I mean, really bad. I have never been on a tire that was worse on ice. It felt like driving a Corvette on summer tires would have been a better option.

My driveway is almost 1/4 mile and freezes with hills. Coming home was frightening some days. I’m so glad to be done with those Toyos. The funny thing is I have had terrible experiences with Toyos every time I’ve had them. My M5, S2000, GL350, and M3 all did better on other brands. No more Toyos for me.

I didnt see many coopers or toyos in Iowa. I have heard they are hot garbage on packed snow and ice.

They are probably satisfactory for the snow in colorado.

Bridgestone, Firestone and Yokohama ATs are all outstanding in packed snow and Ice for non winter tires.

what size? my 31.5"s rub even though everyone says they dont rub with the big fender bolt removed. also found that my cam tabs are "upside down" despite alignment being in spec. possibly that is the cause.

The upside-down-ness wont really make much a difference, it just means less solid eccentric contact on the tabs, which is less than ideal. At 180 degrees its the same adjustment amount as 0.

do i need to bring it back? got it aligned a month ago
Probably should. You can see with the lobe down-facing, it wouldnt be as engaged to the tabs, and could potentially shift and flatten them like shown in this image I found on the web.

Probably wont do any harm just riding around the streets, but if you do hit a trail, you'd certainly want the correct.

I would. It cost me $150 to have my cam tabs bent back and welded for reinforcement. Last alignment shop ruined them. They bend easy on these. Went to 4wd shop to align and fix tabs this time.

I’ll always get aligned at a 4wd shop now. They know how to ‘high caster’ align which helps, even with uca’s.

thanks for the info. will bring it back to same place to see if they will fix their error for free. america’s tire

edit: America's Tire won't touch it without additional cost. said it needs to be there for alignment in spec. I guess time to find off road garage.

Unfortunately the damage is done. I’d show them how they smashed the cam tabs. Definitely need to be repaired or the cams will just move around under any stress.

Wow. I'm going to weld on some cam tab reinforcements next year. Luckily my alignment shop HAS been good, but I'd hate for that to happen in the future.

285/70/17. I've knocked my alignment out of spec a whole bunch of times so it's not surprising haha. But I plan on getting these at some point.

Edit, claimed by @Wildcat Walker

Free to someone who will use them, you pay flat rate conUS shipping of $20 or pick them up central Ohio.

Pair of CaliRaised LED ditch lights, with light mount brackets and hardware, but not with hood brackets. These are the sideshooter models. 6 LEDs front and 3 LEDs side. Uncut wiring terminating in a waterproof connector, but no additional wiring harness. Work fine and look fine. I'm just not using them, and I hate sh!t sitting around.

Will update soon (edit, below) with actual pic of the units removed but until then, these are them installed. Again, the hood brackets are not included.
