Yup. Mine ****ed with me for over a year before I for sure diagnosed the head gasket.
It had been missed by multiple shops and multiple master techs at the dealer.
s*** be like that sometimes. Hope its squared away and faith is restored soon.

Finally got the advisor on the phone for 10 min
They think it's the aftermarket remote start acting up and/or failing internally (which is interesting, since it was only working like 1/2 the time I used it and also was why I suspected some battery drain issues in the past). No codes for speed sensors or anything; all of it just shows communication issues but the modules themselves seem fine. So they're going to unplug it, drive it, and re-scan it. Hoping that does it.

That would not surprise me. I had a Viper remote start installed on my Taco when I first bought it. And had occasional electrical issues no one could diagnose and they always eventually went away. And it would eat a battery a year. Finally stumbled across some posts where others were having issues. Changed to a Compustar remote start and all was good after that.
When I got the GX looked around at remote starts and once I discovered it had a factory remote start threw the third party ideas out the window. I pay for the Lexus remote start app and the piece of mind to me is worth it. It is why I am not installing the Hamilton head unit or any other 3rd party one for that reason. These things, and most vehicles today, are very sensitive to any electrical modifications.

Interesting! Good to know, makes me somewhat more confident that is the culprit.
On a 19 Lux you should probably have factory remote start that doesn't require a paid subscription. It took me damn near two years to figure that out on my 20 Base.
Not sure how it would work if you are already pay for the service but in my case, I slow pushed the fob lock button down 3 times and then held it for 5+ seconds on the 4th press until the truck started. It's not in the manual and no one said s*** to me when I bought it, but I happened to catch a post on 4Runners.com where a reference was made about it, and I tried it and it worked...
So my 23' has remote start via the app, youre saying we can do it with the fob?
I'm saying my 20 Base has it via the fob but I can't speak for anyone else's rig given differing year and trim; but it would seem logical that if my base has it then higher trims would as well. Can you disable the app temporarily and try the above technique?
I have a '22 and I've managed to do it a few times. Same procedure, but it's finicky for me. I pay for the app ($8/mo) and it's more reliable that way.

They're pretty sure it's the remote start kit acting up or having internal issues. No codes for wheel speed sensors etc, just things showing communication issues across modules. Picking it up tomorrow, they can't uninstall the remote start module so I have to do it myself, but at least they're only charging 1 hr of labor when I already had ok'd 3

Also have a 22, BlackLine, and the fob works for me. I use the app in the winter when I’m walking through the airport.

Accessorides, I installed it 1/28/23 according to my spreadsheet. Worked flawlessly at first, but it was working *maybe* 50% of the time over the last few months. I figured it was either contributing to the battery drain issue and/or just had a voltage cutoff and wouldn't try to start the truck if the battery was below (arbitrary # incoming) 11.8 volts.
Whether it's actually the culprit or not is TBD. We'll see.
It works with the FOB, as long as you are in spitting distance of the rig LOL. It is parked in the driveway too far away for it to work. GXBob has a video on how to increase the distance by keeping it next to your head. Tried all of that but is really hit or miss with a lot more misses.
Both time out after 10 minutes but you can restart it once more for 20 minutes total. That works for me even in the twenties and thirties below zero.
I do have a heated garage but heat is a catalyst for rust, hard pass so it stays in the driveway. Old picture of my Taco from the kitchen window zoomed in but you can get the idea, too far.
Not a toyota, but my friends subaru had a aftermarket auto start/stop killer and remote start.
Absolutely ****ed his car electronically and he ended up having to remove it. Christmas treed, sensors left and right, draining, limp mode, the whole 9.
So I try to stay away from em also.
On a different note, Logans run at uwharrie national forest for olde north state cruiser club coming up.
