Cause Taylor and I are expecting a baby! I am almost 9 weeks along. We went to the Dr. today and there is a heartbeat! I am due on March 29th.

We still have a few more hurdles to clear since I am considered an old lady in child bearing terms. Some genetics testing, more poking and prodding, etc. But since there is a heartbeat, our odds just went way up for a successful pregnancy.

Here's a pic of the little bean. And don't expect to see anything on it. It's kind of like looking at snow on a TV screen. I don't know what anything is either. It's all voodoo if you ask me.

Congratulations Heather and Taylor!!!!

Some good cruiser genes in that little bean!

Congradulations !!!!!!!!!!!

Listen to your sister...you won't like it as much as the 80. It's not big enough to sleep in and the boys can't see out of the back windows. It's also a PITA to get kids in and out of the back seat. Plus with the way you wheel, you will want to do a SAS and that will cost you bank.

Keep the cado. Wait until FJ Cruisers have been out for a while and try to pick one up cheap.

Hey Dan, there might be a FJC when someone gets tired of the baby seat arrangement.

The only thing I am coming up for air from is puking my guts out. And you people are sick puppies.

Here are the pics on our cards:

Renee wouldn't let me cook breakfast in the house for a couple of weeks then she was fine.

Thanks y'all!! We are really exicted! This might put a cramp on the wheelin for a while, but I think I'll adjust.

But boy, do I have a fire under my butt to get that Piggy done now!

Like any good build thread, I thought I had better update this one. I am now 16 weeks along and today we had another ultrasound that confirmed that the baby has 2 legs, 2 arms, 2 hands, 2 feet, a head and all kinds of internal organs that are working. We also found out that we are having a girl!!

We have another ultrasound in four weeks to count fingers and toes and we'll know more then!

Congratulations on the girl... and all the appropriate appendages... or lack thereof for a girl.

As you know... I think girls rule!!!

Build update:

I am half way done! I should be on schedule to get this project done about March 29th, give or take a week or so.

This month we added about 10 ounces in weight (she's up to 13 oz). She's working on about 8", so she still needs a bit of a lift to get to her expected birth height of about 20 inches or so. That will happen in the next 4.5 months, so no worries. So far the engine is firing on all four cylinders according to the doc (we saw the 4 chambered heart). We also have a good exhaust system developing (saw the stomach and bladder) and there is a wiring harness and central computer underway (brain and spine are good).

We also saw that all the tires are of the appropriate size and attached to the right places (she has all her fingers and toes and was wiggling them today during the ultrasound).

I know...kinda goofy for a build thread, but it's fun thinking of a baby growing inside me and all the stuff that's happening to her. All in all, we had a good 20 week check up. While I miss the wheeling stuff very much, this sure is a lot of work and a lot of fun too. And oh so worth it.

Pretty soon I'll be asking for suggestions on names...so start thinking!
