We will be having a GSMTR prerun at Golden Mountain OHV Park on April 14. The alternate date if the weather is to bad will be April 21. This is a change from what we previously announced as I realized that was Easter weekend.

We need your help, we will try to get groups to run or at least look at all the trails and rate them on a 1-5 scale. Steve Spring has the map data base and will print a map for GSMTR with our ratings. Also if we find correctable issues, especially on the easier trails, we maybe able to them fixed before the event.

Damn. I can't make either of those dates. I've already committed to a run at Superlift on the weekend of the 14th and I'm due to have surgery on Thursday the 19th. If anyone still wants to go the weekend of the 7th, I may still entertain the idea.

Edit: Let me rephrase that... I still really want to go Easter weekend so if there's anyone else without Easter plans, lets go. :)

Is anyone going AT ALL???

i'll be there on the 14th if nothing happens between now and then. not sure my 40 will be back together by then so i may be in the 60. if so i guess i'll have to be the test subject for the easy trails

60's... rock!

I would have been in but I just found out my oil pan was rusted out under the skid plate. Parts probably wont get here in time.

Right now it looks like Me,Abdy,Will and Todd, anyone else comin ?

Like Andy said, everyone is welcome. Our goal is to assign numerical ratings to the trails, which Steve Spring will put on the GSMTR Map he is working on. Also we want to look at the easier trails ( 2&3 rated) to see if there are any spots that need work before GSMTR. With all this to do in a weekend we plan to break up into small groups.
I am taking my camper and will have the grill set up for Saturday evening so bring meat and we will have a cook out. I will privide breakfest for Sunday morning.

We have not had any rain this week and none is forcast, so wheeling should be outstanding.
Here is the week end forcast:

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. South wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. South wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. South wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78.

Have a great time and good luck in getting all the trails set for GSMTR. Melissa has a soccer tournament so my weekend is spoken for.

The weather here is perfect and the trails are good and dry. Not too many other people here so it's turning out to be a perfect wheelin weekend.
