The low country boys don't need no stinkin breaks when they wheel!
image.webp
Poor Florida guys next to us, one of the guys took off with this guys keys about 5 am this morning and so they had to pop the ignition to start it so they could get it up on the trailer, lucky for him his buddy had a 38' trailer to haul his rig home. Good thing Mark was still around to show them how to pop the ignition.

I had an absolute blast this year, was glad I took the chance and went out wheelin. It's always nerve racking when ya know ya gotta drive it home but with a good crew and good mechanics you'll always make it home. I was glad my old room mate from college, Travis, got to wheel his stock 62 for the first time. And he didn't get stuck once, he'll be at Golden Mt. for sure. Thank you to all the club members that came out and that includes you low country boys, had an absolute blast and will be back again next year come hell or high water!

Time to gear up for over the mountain.

Last year was fun but this year was really fun. I cannot remember a less stressful event. Everything went very smoothly and while there were some breakages they were all overcome. Just a great time all around. Have to say the cabins were great and just made everything so much easier. Raffle was great. Roger, Andy, Todd and the rest of the STLCA crew did a great job. Thanks to everyone who made it out. Events like this make me proud to be part of this club.

My pics. Didn't take many because I was having to much fun.

My following my buddy steve, who also is my landlord. He caught the bug last year.

Funniest part of the trip was when Josh (former pres of UC) pulled up beside me out of the blue and shot me the finger. He ended up coming down to vist a few nights later.

By far the coolest thing I saw was the windmills slicing through the fog. They were so huge. You could hear them from hundreds of yards away.

Can you see Chuck?

Awesome views everywhere.

Lance from IPOR separated his whole knuckle from his axle housing. An amazing feat. Even for 42's.

Followed Steve home. Made it home in 3.5 hrs. Drove 60-65 the whole way back and got 20mpg. Amazing what driving slow with a fuel injected 2f will do.

lol that picture of josh says it all!

Here were a few of the Cruisers that were back at the Pavilion early on Thursday
