Fixed it for ya.

S'ok, cause I just remembered you're not allowed on "the" trail anyway.

My lil boy needs a father...

Yep! I've heard the same thing a few times myself.

Hey Ted, look on the bright side: We're gonna have a mighty small group for it when we go. Hell, maybe me you and Clutch will run it Wednesday first thing. Is John wanting/allowed to go? haha

that'd be just fine, lookin' forward to it. John is long nuff in tooth he doesn't need to seek approval but that's not really the correct question. The question should be Is John going to allow himself to do it? That remains to be seen.

IS it just me or baby giving the camera the bird?

oh yeah, that pic is getting well used. poor kid is gonna get a bad rap before he turns 1 :flipoff2:

BTW i hope all my work holds up.. i may be coming up with a shot steering rack. After last ride i had to replace every ball joint, wheel bearings, all seals in front end and still have a busted steering rack and bad p/s pump.. i ordered a new rack but it was wrong part so idk if ill have it fixed b4 i come up... If not oh well ill blow it out..and keep going SOMEHOW. So it was not alignment.:bang:

Yup that's the trail.

you don't need to steer it, well, maybe you do and whatever beer budget you have, double it.

ahh we will have to go to waldens all alone later this year...im buying a year pass....

And as for the beer budget. ill have a lil beer and alot of mountain dew/ pie... im sure e can work it out

Andy posted on the TN site but thought it worth posting over here as well. A few of us have been talking about running trail 75 during GSMTR and now that I've watched the video I'm questioning my own sanity.

never mind these guys aren't wearing seat belts but the scary section starts around 21:35, well worth watching

Give it a year, this trail will have truck skeletons littering the sides of the mountain.

this is the better Waldens ridge video, also known as Trail 75

Zack, your Taco would do fine on 75 as long as you got armor (and your steering doesn't crap out at the right [wrong] spot. That long wheelbase is gonna drag a lot. I hate to kill all the hype, but its really gotten outta control; trail 75 isn't anywhere near as bad as its gotten talked up to be. That still view of the video Ted just reposted is Photoshopped or edited somehow. That is NOT what it looks like when you're going across that rock. The rock is true, but the open air to the right is not.

Edit: After reviewing the video again, I had forgotten about the evident fire that'd been through there. Who knows if it's better, worse or the same, but I'll retract my statement that it's Photoshopped since it MAY be more open from the fire.

And probably too late now (again, due to all the hype), but guys that have had their wheeling permissions removed for this trail, ask if you can go on it and just have someone else drive your truck across that spot. There really is only about 100 yards of the trail that has caused all of the talk; the rest of the trail is pretty much a typical trail like anything else we've done a hundred times. Just FYI.

So Ted, what happens if we end up with 3 two-seaters (me, you, Clutchee) yet Nick, Sam, John, Dave, et al, want to ride? We need to convince somebody's spouse to do as I mentioned above.

I got the balls i aint scared of no trail... id rather die driving my rig off the edge of the mountain than die at work or at home...go out with a bang right???? and the body of my truck is my armor...:hillbilly:... and for my eyes playing with me ill just close em and floor it:doh:

Sam is putting the cage in this week, so he should be set. :grinpimp: I know it is a mental thing, but after watching that video, my MIND tells me to keep my happy butt off of 75. It would be awesome to watch in person.

I will be in the 40 pulling the m416. There is a route that is less freeway that I will likely take. I would probably hold you guys up in the tractor anyway.

Posted from a brick.

How fast can you safely/comfortably run in that beast? I usually keep the needle at 65 when I'm hauling the trailer and all the camping stuff. I know that still may be a bit much though.

I've only removed Nick's priviledges cause I'm not allowed to go. :flipoff2: :grinpimp: If he wants to put his life in the arms of his harness, seats, and the CREW's handiwork... go for it :wrench:

Nick's friend JD will be there... he is more than welcome to drive the Franken80 across... I don't value his life [STRIKE](as much)[/STRIKE]
