I knew that might get everyone going!! I'm just ready to get the hell out and have a good time. Can't wait to see everyone.....

Ted's truck is much more of an "all around" good wheeler due to power and wheel speed abilities.

What, you looking like you're about to take a leak into Ted's driver's window from above??? :hhmm:

bout damn time I get a little respect round here but it probably wont last long. :flipoff2: And if Nick had his willy out I sure didn't see it.

I thought you'd appreciate that Ted. After all there have one or two times that you've made it up things I haven't. Or was that just me wanting to test out my new winch??? :hhmm:

And just what the heck are you trying to say about Nick??? :zilla:

Oh Ted, for your list, don't forget to add a good bit of time for trail 3. Remember that last hill had lots of nice trail divides with really technical climb-outs to the gravel. I'm pretty sure I'll take Clutchee over there and we'll spend some time seeing what's doable and not.

hmmmm, I remember trail 39.....

Anyway, you got me to go find my map and now I'm looking at trails dang-it. Trying to find good loops that have a mix of good stuff and moderately good stuff. Problem is with the way they rate the trails a single back diamond could be really cool or really a bust and unless you've run them there's no way to tell for sure. For example I'm lookin' at my map and trail 32 in combo with a few others has potential for a loop but the only video i found is from when it was first made just over a year ago.

I've already highlighted almost every trail I want to run and only a few are "loopable". Windrock is too big to really be able to set trail rides up that way. Unless you don't care about the trail ratings, then its easy. For what most of us are going to be shooting for, there's gonna be a good bit of jumping around and/or hitting some easy crossover/connector trails. As long as most of the connectors we choose aren't long and slow, like a bunch of boring switchbacks or something.

Just found this in case anybody wants to see the "fun" spot again. Skip to 9:30 and 13:00.

Naaaahh. Hell, you're probably lower CG than most of us. Roger's 40 did it last year and he's tall AND narrow.

That's what I'm sayin!

I don't know what these girls are arguing about! :flipoff2:
No arguing, just trail debates mostly. Rance is just tryin to get everyone riled up as usual. That is his purpose!

WOW! I got back from working for 2 hours and I miss 11 posts on this thread and the topic and since change to the ever growing discussion of Walden's Ridge :bang:

Not me!!

guess that means I will not be able to make it?
16 is one of my favorite trails at windrock but your quote is correct. Its very cool trail and waterfall is worth seeing but when dry its a very easy trail for built rigs

I'm not quite following you here Andrew ; You'd love 16 I think. Be a long, scenic, yet challenging trail for you. A few good photo ops.

12 is a gorgeous trail (from trail 9 or 10) but you'd have to winch your way out the final hill I think. We did it once last year on one of the scouting runs and 90% of the way through we were all in agreement that we'd talk it up as an excellent "wagon trail" for GSMTR. Then we got to the end... No longer wagon friendly. I can't remember for sure if it was winchable for smaller rigs or if it was bad enough you'd have to go back (and it's a pretty long way back from that point). Maybe it could be run the other way from trail 13 and just start by going down that rough hill. We found our way out somehow, but I don't recall how.

Yeah i didn't quite follow either. He could be sayin he's gonna try to follow on the harder trails therefore no 16 for him or that his truck can't do 16 which I'm sure it could as long as Andrew takes off his panties and puts on some big boy undies. :flipoff2:

Isn't 12 the trail we did at Xmas, 9 to 12 then back out from way the heck up on the property? that'd be a really cool trail for the wagon crowd with the 1 exception of that tight spot where Zack got hung up. Even the end they might make if it's dry but as long as there's 1 winch in the group they're fine.

Yeah, that was 9 & 12. I guess being that low I didn't remember it being cold like when we were higher and there was frost on all the trees! I cant remember the end all that well, just that we looked and all quickly agreed "nope, not making that today" and "nope, no longer a wagon friendly trail". Must've been pretty bad for us to turn around and do ALL of 12 in reverse.

I think we need to do that trail early one morning on our way to Atomic Ridge. In a small group of big trucks, it wouldn't take too long.

My wife said, "We're getting a divorce if you run that trail." "Kady needs her daddy." "How much life insurance do you have?"

I'm out.
