lol...I thought we went on 24 last time. I am probably wrong. That may of been for GMP.

Yeah, you have a short ride on 24 whatever way you go up the GMP. And how bout responding to a brother's PM? I just want to get my ELS sticker for the back window, so make sure you pack some whether you come up 24 or 75! And I don't think the RC is going to make the trip, the Honcho is sans the motor and trans and the Wraith doesn't have a radio or a motor either. Life got in the way on both. Will be looking for you to bust out the Cherokee though.

good to know, I will have one newbie with me, so he will follow me around.
One additional question...
How do people end up into groups, it would make sense for us to get into a group with similar vehicles once we are there.
How does this process occur, is there a sign up sheet or is it a free for all?
And another question, will there be mud like this, any bridge building or winching challenges?

Don't worry though Andrew, as long as you get in with the right group, you're going to have a blast. There will be guided trail rides for all levels too. Just keep asking people where they've been and you'll get an idea of what trails to go to and to stay off of. Even if you end up on a trail like 12 and are disappointed that you have to turn around and backtrack the whole thing, you'll still be happy at the end of the day.

I believe the STLCA will be providing some guided tours, just hope it doesn't end up like the SS Minnow

It's not that organized in that you are placed in a group. Basically you wheel with your buddies who presumably have similar rigs.

build bridges?-- ummh, why? Please don't say for fun.

Yes, there will be guided runs for all levels hosted by STLCA. I don't think there will be actual sign-up sheets, just a posted time and location to meet in the morning for each group. Just ask Roger or whoever the STLCA rep is when you check in.

There will be very few trails that will REQUIRE going through deep mud (sorry Andrew - try to hold back the tears). And to add to that, you won't ever see mud like that on a guided run that you're a part of. The wagon crowd won't want that so those guided runs will try to avoid sloppy stuff.

With all the rain we have had in TN the last few weeks and more forecast for this weekend will probably mean that mud will be inevitable no matter what trails you are on. I don't know if oliver springs has seen the same, but I know middle TN and the plateau have seen north of 10" in the last 2 weeks with more on the way. The waterfall run may be worth the trip, and I suspect all the trails will be a little sloppy. At least up there there is some rock and gravel, GMP would have been a snotty mess.

I can see it now, "Just follow me, I promise you wont get any scratches, dents, roll overs, or broken parts, the trails are really FUN"

Hours later Clutchee returns by himself, because everyone is immobile and broken...
