What's with you guys with the '95- 80's with oak interior? :D

I can add you two to the list, but it may take longer for yours to come in as the first order had gone in a few weeks ago, but only three have shown up so far. And since there's less people to share shipping (to my place), yours will cost slightly more ($5-$10 more each maybe), please let me know that's going to be a problem.

Alright, Mot. After the recent successes of the 95+ installs I'm in as well, put me down for another oak please, 96.
...am looking forward to your installation pics with happy ending.

Does it really come with the happy ending? Man you really are full service..
:censor: :whoops: ;)

Oh dammit, I seriously thought this was dumb but now I want one! I scanned the thread but missed the specific price... $75? Or what is it all-in?

I forgot that the bars for the guys on the 1st list have arrived at the parts guy's place, but I've been waiting for the side-marker assemblies to arrive so we can consolidate on shipping cost, etc... ;p

But I know that you have been waiting long enough so I've just told him that unless the side-markers arrive the first part of next week, to go ahead and send me the rest of the bars for you guys on the 1st list.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for your patience!!

Mot,

Add me to list #2. '97 Oak.

And a big thanks to Koffer for leading the way with the outstanding install documentation.

So are these available for the earlier rounded dash on the 93?

I have to wait on ordering ATM, but was hoping these would still be avail along with a rear ladder in a few months when tax returns arrive..

So what do I do here, wrap an empty box with a pretty bow on it with a pic inside for the wife. I mean what are we waiting for, Christmas?

Did you not get the one from "airlaird" or has he changed his mind for good? ;)

I've told the parts guy that unless the rest of what I ordered came in .... or did I tell you that story already? :D

Seriously, sorry for the delay I guess I should have drawn the line sooner about saving cost and satisfying wants/needs. My sincere apologies for making you wait this long.

Brad,

I did receive your PM.
I'll put you on the list as soon as I'm done with this post. ;)

And for whoever reads this thread from now on, I should be able to get the bar for any year of 80 as long as I'm around and healthy. ;p Obviously, more people going in on it at the same time, my cost to get them would be a little cheaper (wire transfer fee/shipping), but it's not that bad and I'll get them.

Mot

You know I've been stalling in hopes to get you to buy more stuff.

Damn you Mot, that's exactly what's happening.. here I am thinking what else I need to get from you. And I use the word need very loosely.. :flipoff2:

btw, those OEM fogs are way better looking in person! :)

I paid you for a grab bar. He contacted me on selling me his which I directed him to you to work it out. As far as I'm concerned YOU owe me a grab bar. What I expect is a price for this bar. I can realise that you are trying to save money on shipping with gettting as much over here in one shipment as possible but I really don't care if I save $5.00 on shipping if my wife opens an empty box.

Since my wife is only 5'2" and I have a 4" lift I told her I'd do what I could to help her get into the truck. This bar is part of that promise. Like her husband she is not into the bling of life but would appreciate this bar.

When can I expect it.

Hey Rick,

I'm not trying to rip you off here and I should hope that I would not let your wife nor anybody else's better-half, for that matter, to open an empty box on Christmas morning for Pete's sake.

I'm NOT trying to get it all in one shipment to the US, but rather was trying to get it in one or two shots to MY place. It's not that I'm trying to piss you or anybody off here Rick.

Not that you asked for it, but this kind of makes me want to disclose my cost with this transaction which I'm sure you don't give a hoot about. Perhaps you think that I'm making $$ through this deal and should have had no problem having them sent to my place as they came:

The cost of the bar (same price whether getting through this guy that I've been using or from a Toyota dealer):

-$33 (for your year and $43.50 for -'94)
-$1.20 for the washer/nut combo
-$4+ for wire transfer (depending on the amount of the transfer)
-$10+ for shipping to my place (again depending on the size/weight)
-$1.50 for the box which I had made specifically for these bars and picked up today.
-$24 for air shipping (upto 1kg)

Total for the '95- bar: $73.7 Total for the -'95 bar: $84.20

Now since there were quite a few of you who ordered at the same time I could break up the wire transfer fee and the shipping cost to my place to less than $1 each for this transaction, which brings down the cost to about $61 and $70 respectively.

I've asked for $72 and $82, including shipping, and since most of you paid me with PayPal there was a fee of upto $3.50 that I have/had to pay for their service fee.

So basically through this transaction I'm making around $7.50 per '95- bar ($72-$61-$3.50) and $8.50 for the -'94 bar. I hope this makes it a little easier for you to see why I wanted to minimize my expenses because I'm not making much through this transaction and I've put in way more time/effort into this than $7.50-$8.50 a bar. ;p

Now please understand that I had to pay my parts guy (I'm tired of calling him the "parts guy" so I'm gonna call him "Jdan"; Japanese Dan:D ) up front for all of the bars well before receiving all of the payments to get the ball rolling since they were out of stock.

I knew it was a little risky or even foolish as there were some chances that some would change their mind and back out after expressing interest. Actually, there's one guy I have not heard back from since he told me that he was "in". But I did not want to make everybody wait until everybody's payment arrived. I hope you know that I was taking chances when ordering for everyone plus a couple of extra ones so I could offer them for someone who wanted them weeks or months from now without increasing the price(s).

I've kind of lost what I was trying to get at, but as I said before I do really want to apologize for making you and your wifewait. It was (and is) not my intention. I would have sent you a bar if your color were gray and/or I knew from the get-go as I did with Steve that you needed it ASAP. (I told him that I was getting only one "oak" and he told me that he needed it ASAP since he had his dash torn apart and told me that he would pay me extra to cover for additional shipping charge, etc... just so he could have it sooner.)

Maybe I should have charged you (guys) a little more for the bar and that way I could have felt justifiable in having them sent to me as they came in. Or maybe I should have asked Jdan to send them to me when they came in and make less profit. Such a greedy bastard I am.

Again I'm sorry that I failed to realize that you wanted it urgently (I know it's been like forever) and I must admit that you have been VERY patient. I do not only say this to Rick, but others as well.

I don't know what else I can do at this time. As I said earlier I have told Jdan to send them over and I do expect them either on Monday or Tuesday. I will send them out, as long as I have everyone's name, address, and phone number ,the day I receive them and give you the tracking information before the day's over. And you should be able to receive it/them by the end of the week. It will obviously vary depending on where you live.

I sincerely hope that this thread does not give anyone the impresson that I am LAZY or SLEEZY by taking advantage of you or being irresponsible because of the delay. I think those of you who have dealt with me in the past (I hope;) ) will testify that I am a man with integrity and treat you right with respect and sincerity.

Anyway, maybe I've wasted my breaths in vain, but I hope you could see even a fraction of where I was coming from. :frown:

Yours,

Mot :)

I'll be the 1st to say Mot is not out to stick it to anyone .

He was nice enough to put me and the Cruiser:princess: up for a night , take us to the TAM and then to the beach . He had never met me other then here on Mud and asked for nothing in return .

All we need to do lose him as a great JDM supplier.

He has kept everyone in the loop about this so far .

So Im posting this stuff below to show what I could do for him and everyone on the list .

Hey Mot,

I just wanted to let you know not everyone feels like Landtank. I never thought you were getting rich and I understood it would take some time for everything to come together. I feel you have done a good job of keeping everyone informed and I do appreciate that.

Thank you for the time and effort you have invested Mot and I'm sure you'll get my bar and lights out as soon as you can.:)

Best Regards
Shane
