That blue will look really good on it. I like the patina on the hood also. What are your front seats out of?

Seats are out of a 2010 Lexus ES350 got all of power working on Pass side but driver side all power works excepts front and back vertical on the bottom. I`m also trying to figure out wiring for the cooling fans and heating in the seats still. Gonna stop by next week again and check on it. It`s a never ending project. LOL

Sky Blue is an excellent color-can't wait to see it! Is it also the original color the 40 was?

not sure what original color was. The hood has that bronze or gold under the white Under the dash has a tan or desert sand color. The top is from a different 40 doors are from 2 other cruisers so its a basket of parts put together to cruise again. Wife calls it my POS but she is the one that pushed me to get it painted so I know she has a secret love for it but just won`t admit it. LOL

"Secret love." That's a good one. I will have to try that.

For some of these guys, it's probably more like "TOP SECRET!"

:lol::lol::lol:

@mrboatman cool to see the progress! Looks like you have a great truck, and a great :princess: who loves your truck! What did you tell the shop to paint the fiberglass top with?

Amen to all the partners out there who put up with our Cruiser illness. I read it here on the forum: "This is an illness that has no cure."

That's quite the gap you have between the back of the hood and the cowl on the passenger side. Also the standing seam on that A pillar doesn't look straight. Pls tell me that's just an optical illusion.

Who's painting it?

Hello Mace that is Wreck Center in Henderson wreckcenter They are a small shop that came in under budget on the quote.

Mark you are correct the fender had an injury years ago they are going to straighten that out dam you have a good eye!!

Spend the extra money to have them reassemble the front clip after all repairs are done, make sure all panels can and will align properly, then disassemble again for paint.

The only thing more expensive is regret.

Yea I am very anxious to get it back and to have it one color. I stopped by today to check on it. The owner was not in and the workers are a bit hard to talk to as I only speak English !! But did get some pics and I belive he did understand that they have to pull the passenger fender out some to for correct alignment.

It looks good..I used epoxy primer and a couple of good coats of single stage urethane all over including the bed and all floors. This was about 6 months ago. That paint is quite tough and it's not chipping or lifting. I prepped pretty darn good before spraying, but that urethane is tough stuff.
Hey it looks like you still have the vacuum 4wd and no lever on the hump. They work great.
