I had left town for the summer and ended up in Reno helping my ailing dad. The plan was to go up thru Idaho,Montana,Washington, and Oregon to get out of the heat but the other was more important. We got him back to some what stable so now back home in the heat and now I can start taking some of it apart to put it back together the right way, The body shop guys were good just not used to doing a project like this and some things were just put toghther and not correct, Oh well it is one color now and i can take it from there. So I will be updating again.
Thanks

Did some work on the doors today. Found that the body shop guys had put the windows into the wrong doors and ofcourse left all of the window feltand trim out. So today I installed some new window regulators and put the windows back into the correct doors. Also while putting the passenger window in I found that the bottom window stop was missing!! Found that laying inside at the bottom of the door!! Was a happy to find that and put it back in. So with new regulators and new felt in the channels and the windows in the correct doors now the windows roll up and down again. I still have to get the weather strip for the outside of the window and correct bolts for all of the door. The body shop guys thought they were doing me a favor by replacing all of the bolts with new stuff. Here is a couple of pics of the passenger door torn apart and back together.

Okay started the Install of the Holley Sniper EFI. Since I had to drain down the coolant I changed the heater hose`s and installed a new electric heater bypass valve. I still need to adapt a period style knob to the switch.

Removed the Holley 2 barrel, fuel pump and the fuel filter and fuel lines. Drained and set them outside to dry and air out before boxing them up and in the shed they go. Next remove the seat and fuel tank to run new fuel line and a return line. That part was not to bad,

Got to get a new fitting to change the fuel pressure gauge around and still need to wire it all up and secure the fuel lines. Tomorrow is another day.

The start up real good and smooth the idle is around 650 I still need to insure the Throttle blade adjustment or the IAC Position % I have only got about 10 miles on so far just enough to burp the coolant system. I do have a leak on the fuel pump block off plate for some reason I think i may need to grind a little of off the bottom of the plate to sit flush. not really any snags it is pretty simple install now to just understand all of the tuning options.

Super cool!! Great looking 40. Glad to see another sniper on the road. Did you have a my snags during installation? What did you set your idle too?

I’m still having a slightly rough start up with mine. How does yours start up?

Keep an eye on the AFR display as it starts to see if you're too rich or too lean.
