Gnarly. That was fun to watch. I hope the repairs are easy. The footage was definitely worth it.

Great video Ryan-
GA- your line choice is questionable. However- redemption though a very impressive deep water crossing- that was The Hunt for Red October deep.
So the skidpplate cross member-

is that your Transfer Case cross member?
Were you able to straighten that out for the ride home?
Looks like ya'll had fun- have some memorable new body art too.

Great footage, Is this in GA?
I never wanted a snorkel, looks too fckboy for me, but with cutting my inner fenders for tire clearence i needed a way to keep mud and water out of the air box, snorkel was the easiest way.. i dont mind it now, especially with deep water like that.I’ll never sneer at dudes with snorkels again. Lol.
We have crossed it before but this trail constantly changes. There were indications that the water had been 6' higher not long before we got there.I’m not a fan of the snorkle look either but if youre planning on running deep water cresting the hood - its pretty much a necessity.
That exceptionally deep crossing- have you guys crossed that when it was lower? Curious to know what tank trap is burried in there that destroyed a TC cross member and ripped a sway bar off? Boulder or logs or all of the above?
Looks fun! Hey what ya want for the skids. My cruiser is going full commando so welding your broken skids would be a step up for me.
I only once had water above the hood for about 2 seconds and I’ll never sneer at dudes with snorkels again. Lol.
Man, you've seen the videos and pics. You tell me where you've ever seen a dusty trail in any of themI get the universal hate for snorkel but it is really useful in dusty situations too! Especially if you are following others on a dusty trail. And it is a great conversation piece. People have literally came up to me to just talk about the snorkel!
Honestly they'll probably stay for a while. I was able to bend the cross member straight enough to reinstall.

I can count on one finger the number of times we've had dust on a trail. And it was gravel/paved.
So have you bought that Abrams yet??![]()
Big Agnes has a similar design I find very useful. We really like the Roadhouse Tarp. We got the one with the bug netting. It’s a pretty great solution for us.
We camped last summer on Ocracoke Island, and the strong winds meant I was frequently bringing it down, then putting it back up.
