We need a new thread in the 200 section.
Not gonna lie, both the wife and I think stock 570s look terrible... even she was like 'if you put me in one of those it's gotta get a rear bumper. It looks like it's got childbearing hips'.

It's been a little while since I updated this thread. Unfortunately, Gerry has been sold and I'm leaving the community forever.
JK she's fine and got pulled in to the garage this week for some TLC! Last year at COTR I was showing off to @LJE on the moguls of Trail 51, managed to get both of my front tires pointing toward each other. They're not supposed to do that. She sat all year, with just an occasional drive here and there. The 200 really shines as a comfy daily!
What I found was a loose inner tie rod. I could simply replace just that part, but my steering rack has over 100K on it, many of those miles being pretty hard. I hate the poly bushings in them, and the DS outer TRE has a good bit of play in it as well. So, we'll just do a whole rack and new TREs. Fortunately there's a great OEM sale going right now, so the timing is right!
I also dealt with a persistent parasitic draw issue. Big thanks to @Super77 for helping me track it down. Long story short, I pulled the 10A dome light fuse and all is well for now. Now she'll stop trying to kill the new $300 AGM battery every week.
What's next for Gerry? Well once she gets buttoned up here in the next few weeks, we have COTR again in October, then I start building the truck for a month-long 4-corners states trip to take place in probably 2028. We're planning to spend as much time away from hotels as possible, and the new build out will need to be functional and comfortable for 2 adults and a tall lanky dog. 2nd row delete, full length platform, drawer fridge, full plumbing for on-board-air, compressed air-powered on-board water, second aux battery, roof solar for aux battery and hood for the house, a bunch of items I've been sitting on from Lumberjack Engineering, accessory relay and switchboard, lighting accessories, etc, etc.
And for those who have been following along with the growth of The Artisan Garage: I'm thrilled to say that the site has been moved to its permanent domain and has been running well. It's now open for new vendors to sign up, and I think it's got a ton of great functionality to really help makers run clean, successful businesses. @LJE has been instrumental in helping me work out bugs during the build process, and I can't overstate how grateful I am for his willingness to be a part of the project. So if you are making your own parts, and don't want to fight against foreign drop shippers on lesser platforms (cough, etsy, ebay, cough cough), give TAG a look! Yessir, I'll be there! I assume it'll be in the 100 but worst case, we'll roll up in the 200. Still counts!
I'd strip that 200 down to scan so many things... Hahahha.

Had a little misfire hiccup last week. No live or stored codes, but a pending P0306 for cylinder 6 misfire. It seemed to improve after the engine warmed up over a few miles, but never cleared up all the way. Over the weekend I pulled the coils and plugs to inspect.

Not terrible, not new, obviously. These have been in for around 60K and there were 3-4 just finger snug at the time of inspection. Reinstalled, snugged to 19 ft/lbs, no big difference. Swapped in a spare #6 coil (coils are Denso with 100K on them) and found no difference. So I poured in some Lucas injector cleaner and a full tank of premium fuel. Look at that, nice and smooth now. It's almost like engines don't love sitting for 8-9 months at a time
So just to be safe, I have a new set of Denso plugs coming this week. Hopefully the new rack and outer TREs will be delivered soon. Mileage is 363,700.
