I love the look of the rims Mcguire. A little contemporary for a 60, but I think it flows with the theme of your build. Great work kid!

Front end is back together, thanks again @cruiseroutfit for the knuckle rebuild parts!

Looking killer!! You are getting there. How many FJ142's out there with a 12-ht and h55!? Very few is my guess.

Cheers
Hey thanks! You know i've looked around a little and I couldn't find one with a 12ht. I feel like there has to be one hiding out in the sticks of Australia though..

Not many that is for sure!

I am thinking about an HJ80 with the 1-HDT mashed up with an FJ62 with rear barn doors as my next FJ142. Probably a few years out on that if I even did it but but man the concept has me thinking!

Cheers

That would be a killer setup, I have heard that the 1HDT is a smooth motor... I won't take on another project of my own for a while, but one day I will create a fj142, ute chop with an aluminum box and some ridiculous motor like a duramax! Like this but a Toyota:steer:

Only time my cruiser gets to ride on the trailer!

Can you post pics of motor mounts? did you use 2h/12ht mounts of custom ones?

Thanks,

I actually just re configured my mounts to utilize dodge cummins mounts off a w250 since they are $13/ per as opposed to the 12ht mounts at $150/per
. The frame side will have to be custom since the 80 frame is narrower

Note that the trans crossmember is just a placeholder.

Forgive my feeble memory, did you use fzj80 frame?

Sweet man! I'm just catching up. Welcome back home Mcguire. I'm looking forward to getting up to the barn and having a look at your progress in person. Man... August is approaching fast!
